fried system !!!!!!!!

Oh please god let this either:

a). End so I can concentrate one people with genuine issues who actually want to be helped.
b). Go on forever so I always have somewhere to go when I need a laugh.

Look 'm8', if you want help sorting this out, give us some pictures of the inside of your system highlighting which cable was plugged in incorrectly. Otherwise, please turn tail.

If you don't have something useful to post, don't post. It's simple enough.

obviously plenty overclockers techs on here yeah ? so its ok to fork out £1050 for a system bundle & to suddenly shut down with no power & even after 18months ?? so you guys on here would do what nothing ?? cmon think about it u would not be happy if a computer shop said it was incorrectly built in the first place

If you didn't want these replies why didn't you post in the Customer Service section? :/

It's been said a lot, but maybe you will eventually grasp it. A "wire" put in a wrong place will not take over a year to cause damage to a computer.

looking for some support and gangster obviously works for this company hence smart ass comments, dont bother posting m8 as im not interested in what u have to say so grow up pal

Me ?

I do not work for OCUK in any shape or form

I'm just trying to help

All you have really said is a cable was placed into the wrong port on the MOBO

and its overheated the cpu and gpu and this is what you was told by silicon centre

And people are trying to tell you thats impossible and if it could happen

nothing would post or it would burn really fast not 18months later

Nobody here works for OcUK... If you want support from people who represent OverclockersUK, lower your tone and post in the customer service forum, this can be found here.

im guessing the only way the cpu AND gpu would both be fried is if the system had taken a power spike
do you use a surge protector?

Just had a look at Silicon's prices.. They are lolworthy, wouldn't surprise me if they need to fleece their customers to make up for the sales they aren't getting!

But I look forward to seeing the pictures.

Lol omg the prices on CPU's alone do they even sell any at them prices

Didnt look at anything else yet

Picture shows a 3pin fan connector?

Depending on the fan in question, it doesn't have to be connected to the motherboard

If it's a case fan, straight connection to the psu is simple and risk free

Hell for arguements sake, I have 5 fans in my system and not one are connected to the motherboard at all. They all run off the power supply.

and my machine has been running 24/7 for around 6 months now.
