Fringe

Still watching this and still think its great although I didn't enjoy the 'film noir' episode a week or two ago. The most recent episode was a return to form though.

Hey guys, was thinking of starting a Fringe thread but found this.

I'd say in the past 10 days I've watched both season 1 & 2 continuously!

I did *start* to watch it from first release but I stopped after like episode 8, but like I said above gave it a fresh start.

REALLY enjoyed season two, and *ahem* just finished watching the finale and wow.

Not sure what you all think of the romance (or near-romance) between Olivia & Peter but it has been a great story line....if a little slow and cautious! I will stop their until you've all seen the finale.

Great show, and was pleasently suprised to see in America it averages 6 million viewers, I thought it was lower than that and close to being cancelled but glad its back in the 'fall' again.....

Whens the last episode here? Never watched it on TV, always through USA iTunes store.

Finale doesn't air until tonight so you may want to edit your post to avoid a suspension.

Other than that though I do agree that it's a great show and can't wait to see how this season wraps up tonight.

Well guys what did you think....it was shown last night was it not?

I wanna talk about it lol! :o

It was shown Saturday night :p

Thought it was really good, though in fairness with two Anna Torvs how could it be bad.

Felt it could have done with an extra episode to delve more into what was happening "over there" and it's a shame that William Bell is gone already considering we barely got to see any of the character.

The twist was obvious though and I wonder how opening the door into "over here" will affect happenings over here.

Yay

Ok my 2pence.

I think its quite obvious that Alter-Walt is behind the problems their end, I think because our Walt took Peter as a child, the Alter-Walt has endeavored to figure out how to retrieve his son, thus causing the destruction to their reality (but also creating technology we havent seen or realised, shapeshifters etc).

I also think the Observers are not of this world.....or perhaps creations from the future?

I also believed until the last scene they had killed our Olivia, replacing with 'Bolivia' as I like to refer to her....giving the story arc where she realises 'we' are not bad and falls in love with Peter (all over again, in a sense!).

but I'm kinda glad our Olivia isnt dead, and I'm sure the big story of season 3 is the realisation that 'Bolivia' is fake, and somehow works with our Walt/Peter to go back and get Olivia.

And as for the 'kiss' I thought it was really good (touching, yes very gay coming from a bloke) but it had taken 2 seasons for that moment to arrive!

All in all its going to be interesting, and I hope they continue straight after, I mean I hope they dont 'jump' forward several months and 'Bolivia' is still passing as ours.......

(I'm getting soft in my old age......:o )

he's called Walternate, and the real Walter got Bell to admit that he'd made the shapeshifters, but obviously they were in the employ of Walternate

Yes he did, in order to keep tabs on Walternate (thank you!), but I still believe the incidents are because of Walternates relentless actions experimenting on reaching 'our' side.

Sending over shapeshifters etc....anyway we have like 6 months now before season 3....boooo

Can't remember, did we ever find out what the 'pods' were that came from under ground? (think there was one in the first series near a construction site & one in the second series in the ~40/50s film noir episode)

Don't think Olivia is going to in much cop mentally in the next season.
Locked down in the pitch dark, in an off the grid facility, by the leader of the country, knowing that backup isn't going to be here any time soon becuase you're in a parallel universe....

Might, you know, get her down a bit .... :p

"Over There" part one doesn't air until next Tuesday on Sky 1 but it's been airing on a different Sky channel a day after America which is where I was watching it. Not sure if they do repeats though.

Edit: Oh, I see what you mean. What was the last episode you remember seeing? The episode before "Over There" was "Northwest Passage" which was the one dealing with Peter.

Yeah Northwest Passage was last weeks episode, I believe Over there is starting next tuesday on Sky 1. They replaced it this week with the Lost finale thing.

nearly missed this, as i hadn't seen it advertised, but new season started last night, not seen it yet, Sky +ed it so watching tonight!

didn't realise it was on yesterday till I went to go watch tv

Pretty good episode for a first season, looking forward to the next :D

Not sure about this series...got the horrible feeling they are going to just drag out this whole who is who storyline for the whole of this season which I think will actually become quite a tedious story about halfway through. We'll see, but it all just smacks to me of "hey look, we can do different acting styles, see how good an actor I am!" situation. Much like all those past scifi shows where there is an episode with dual personalities or good version/bad version of characters.
