Fringe

Really enjoyed the latest episode "Peter", it didn't really give us much new information but it was nice to see the back story explored a little and how it all fitted together. The retro title sequence was pretty cool as well.

Must admit that I have really enjoyed Fringe since the break, was going a bit off of it before the break as nothing seemed to be happening but the last few episodes have really brought it back.

(unlike Flash Forward which continues to draaaaaaag just as it did before the break)

Well the much touted musical episode was a bit crap, for a start it wasn't even much of a musical and the story was completely off the wall (though I suppose Walter was a bit high).

Can't wait for next week though as the finale two parter is meant to be fantastic.

why does it have to be so gooey and sick though?

I dont mind a good story well told, and I have watched all the episodes/series so far, but its something I cant watch within an hour of eating.

And when does flashforward finish? I cant see an end in sight, and I will kick off if it turns into LOST....

Never really noticed the show being "gooey and sick" to be honest, sure there are a couple of gross scenes but I've never been put off my food and I'm quite squeamish.

I think the last thing which was mildly disturbing was the malformed shape-shifter.

Really good episode tonight, some great scenes with Walter, "sweet, strawberry flavoured death!", and a fantastic ending. Can't wait for the finale next week.

Anna Torv is looking a bit gaunt in the most recent episodes. Like she's lost a lot of weight when she didn't have it to lose in the first place.

I think the main story line is really good but am dissapointed when we get one of the 'filler' episodes when there is something strange, they investigate etc... with no real link to the previous episode. I have enjoyed this season more than 1 but need to catch up on a few episodes the last one I watched was 'the man from the other side'

It's the same problem as X-Files - the main story arc would get going and then they'd shove a standalone investigation episode in there.

I mean, we knew about Peter since the end of Series 1, and it's take this long to take that to fruition.

Well considering how it happens to be the focal point of the season and the reason why people are coming over from the alternate universe it is slightly important.

I do agree that they take their time getting around to stuff though.

Aye 50% of season two was 'monster of the week' rubbish, same problem as X-Files. Also, showing a unaired episode from season was a little random.

Second half has redeemed itself to season 1 quality. Loving it.

What was the point in that episode especially since one of the characters in it had been dead for the last few episodes. The only thing I could think of was that it was an episode set in the alternate universe but that doesn't fit because the technology was the same and hence it was set in the prime universe.

same problem as X-Files

Sorry but although I enjoy this show (for the most part) it pales in comparison
with The X-Files, filler episodes such as 'Tooms' , 'DoD Kalm',
that one with the mushrooms that made them hallucinate and
many many many many others are what made this show awesome,
and on top of these awesome 'fillersodes' was the conspiracy story.
That was truly awesome T.V - Fringe is passable at best.

I would say the X-Files took far, far, far, far, FAR longer to get around to anything. Take out all the filler episodes and I bet X-Files will still be about 5 seasons long before you find out anything interesting! :p

I loved X-Files [except that last season which was rubbish] but I always felt that the writers had no idea what they were aiming for so just piled up the intrigue while they tried to think of something!

That would be Fox thinking it knows best. They do this with a lot of shows as they like standalone episodes so that the show is more appealing to new people trying to watch the show.

For anyone still glued to Fringe, Fox are showing a 2 week 2 hour Fringe season finale on May 13th and 20th:

I'm guessing we're going to be left on a cliffhanger :D

That trailer makes it sound like it's going to be some epic four hour season finale when in fact it's just a standard two parter. Still though, can not wait, it's been fairly obvious what has been happening for a while so definitely can't wait to see how it all ends.

Well just skipped everything every one has said :P Just started to watch this as i bought season 1 on blu-ray and i love it! Enjoying it very much Walter is amusing and the over all characters are good,

Only have 4 episodes to go then im done with season 1.
