I really like the handling of the X-T1\100-400 as a package, I much prefer it over the 1D4\7D\150-600. Hopefully the X-T2 will bring AF enhancements (better tracking and back button focusing) and I really hope they can do something with the EVF "blackout".

Nice images Chris. Had a good play with the X-Pro 2 last week and was very impressed, but think I'm going to try and hold out for the XT-2. Enjoy your camera !

Those bird pics are amazing, so much sharper than my Samsung NX300

Can feel an expensive upgrade coming soon.

Edit - just saw what that cost, 2.5k for body and 100-400. Maybe not.

If you look around second hand the X-E1 and X-Pro 1 aren't too expensive but the glass price was the killer for me.

Just bought the XF100-400mm with the teleconverter. I'm due back in Scotland on the 23rd of May around Invegarry. Does anybody know if there are any places to regularly see anything special like Eagles? Saw them at Wester Ross once but that was a one-off.

No. I only got an XT10 at the moment but am saving for the the XT2 and then I'll use a battery grip.

Not sure if you are serious but assuming you are, you can loosen the tripod mount and rotate it
