A bit of `politics` going on there, the Antec 550 Neo is ATI x1900 crossfire approved ( I was going to get this PSU if I went pci-e route ) which draws more power than current Nvidia cards, so I`m sure it will be fine with SLI + the manafacturing process is going to go towards shrinking the die size which should result in less power required, assuming we the don`t go quad SLI / crossfirejswcpm said:thanks, i reviewed the SLI approved and SLI compatible - and even though the Antec Neo 550 was compatible not approved - i thought it would be the most reliable...other than spending $450 to $500 for a 850W or 1KW.
I think a large amount of us on this forum are waiting for vista + DX10 ( hope it can live up to the hype )jswcpm said:I tend to superbuild my computer until i am ready to build another and then try to canabilize the parts i can use for the new one - so the power supply will go for the AMD64/SLI as well as the two pair of TWINX2048-3500LLPRO (need to get a nice case with clear side panel - unfortunately i cannot see the flashing LED's on the memoy with my current case), audio ok, hard drives ok....so really all i need is another case, motherboard, chip, and 2 video cards...maybe i'll wait till Mr. Gates can get his new Operating System out of beta mode...would prefer a 64 bit operating system...
oh well...
