US: Game of Thrones Season 3 (watch-a-long thread {no spoilers})

That was my favorite scene from the books - I was deeply concerned as to whether they would be able to do it justice the series.

In the book there was the added drama of seeing it from Tyrion's viewpoint, being inside his head as you were. Thats a touch you can't really have on TV, without some kind of internal monologue which wouldn't really work.

Don't think the suspense was there as much as it could have been. I don't feel like the TV series has made us fear the mountain like the books did.

But the fight, oh the fight. Fantastically done, believable, defeat from the jaws of victory!

I wanted to hate the series. I wanted to be the book snob that said "series is crap, books are better" - I love the series, it brings my favourite story to life. Although the books will always be my first love, the series is like my mistress who knows a few dirty tricks my wife doesnt.

Seeing his smushed face on the ground was a bit gross.
Great episode I thought, perhaps the only bit I didn't like was how Dany spoke and reacted to Jorah, seemed a bit week and emotionless.

Holy crap that ending was brutal! I was sad when Jorah got kicked out, but now I'm even sadder :( This story does not give a damn about longevity of characters...

Also, daaamn Sansa

Wow just wow although the ending was incredibly brutal it was amazingly offset by some of the best acting I have ever seen from beginning to end. All of the main scenes were breathtaking well acted and portrayed! That was definitely a 5* episode if I have ever seen one!

Just had a thought if the mountain happens to be dead as well by whatever means surely it's a draw and may be some sort of do over and this time he chooses his mate to fight for him but as the mountain is dead he will except and win. Or take the originally offered join the knights watch but by time he gets there they have all been killed by the wildlings!

I've never understood all that jumping around like a ponce! You're obviously by far the better fighter, so just finish/immobilise him and be done with it. Hell, if you really feel the need to ponce about and attain some form of justice then do so once he's down and ****ing crippled beyond fighting back, i.e. take his ****ing hands off when he's down!

Thinking the same, i would have stabbed his right hand first until it was destroyed to make sure he couldn't pick up a sword again, then i would have been home free.

The fight was ostensibly to divine the will of the gods. If it's a draw, then the will of the gods is open to interpretation. And the people in a position to do the interpreting are the people who want Tyrion dead.

Book Talk is banned, keep it out of the TV Series threads. Everyone knows this. We do not CARE if you have read the books, do not CARE for your speculation based on your awesome-amazing knowledge of the books and we do not WANT to hear about the books.

Good thing CAT-THE-FIFTH is already on ignore.
