Games you're playing, and games...

Moved on to PC till PS5 gets some new games (still slowly getting through my Extra backlog, though). Currently playing Indiana Jones, Hi-Fi Rush and Lies of P on Gamepass.

Still Wakes the Deep and Hellblade 2 are next in line and I might give Stalker 2 a go.

Playing through Robocop, I mean it's not the best thing I've ever played but it passes the time. Far from the worst though!

Assassin's Creed Odyssey on PS5. This game looks great incredible.

I was having a chill session last night as everyone went to bed early. Found myself casually walking along a beach watching the waves come in, boats going by and the sun setting. Went up on to a high area and could see fires in the night miles and miles away. And I could go explore them if I wanted.

Games have come a heck of a long way since I first got a Sega Mega Drive lol.

Wuthering Waves.

How F2P games (even with Gacha) have somehow managed to have higher production values and better looking/gameplay than many AAA games, says a lot about the industry.
(and the combat is so much better than Dragon Age: Veilguard... but maybe that's a low bar to set)

Death stranding. This feels like the video game equivalent of that banana taped to a wall in an art gallery that 2 people said was genius and everyone else just laughed at it.
1 hour was enough for me. The Kojima meme is real.

Haha it’s bonkers but I quite enjoyed the weirdness of it all. Not something I’d ever play again however.

Playing GTA5 on the PS5. Never finished it when it first came out so thought I'd give it another go. I do love the radio when driving around, the 'Bring your Gun to work day' commercial did make me chuckle!

I really enjoyed it. It made no sense, but the environment was stunning and I enjoyed traversing it, particularly when Low Roar started up as you neared a city. Oddly, given that it was basically empty, I found it a more immersive world than most open world games before or since.

That said, the story was mad, the combat was poor, and not much really happened, so I'm not sure why I enjoyed it!

I loved it, can't wait for the second.

Really refreshing a game that isn't just go here, shoot that, stab this guy, repeat. Narrative and characters first and foremost. The traversal stuff managed to work surprisingly well, made all the upgrades meaningful, the road networks worthwhile.

Totally bonkers story mind, but I'm a Twin Peaks kinda guy so dig it.

Taking a break from Stalker 2 and now playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, it's such a good game and story wise its on point, I rarely bother with cut scenes but I'm watching every single one and this game is so far making up for let's say the last couple of films.

Same for me, feels like playing a good Indy film.

Persona 3 Reload. Having a great time with it. Going to play through 3, 4 and 5 Royal as I’ve only dabbled in the past. About time I put some proper hours into them. Dark Jan/Feb nights perfect for some Japanese RPG goodness :)

I think P5R is probably one of my favorite rpgs, ever. Along with like a dragon!

Started KCD yesterday. Shame no 60fps..but it’s certainly not detracting.

I had to look up KCD! The jankiness of the combat got to me in the end. It is 30 and I was ok with that as it can be a nice looking game especially in woods etc. Played it for around 25 hours then got stuck on one combat mission and noped out. Hoping things improve in 2.

Sifu - Went from "This is pretty cool" to "ffs" relatively quickly.

Sticking with it as it's an interesting game but It's a frustrating experience at times. Undecided if it's one I'd rather see being played ( expertly) or one I'd invest in to try and get good.
