Games you're playing, and games...

Arma Reforger is my go to at the moment, really enjoying it, feels like a nice update of Operation Flashpoint from the PC; needs a bit more polish, but easy to sink hours in - I've seen matches finish that have been going nearly 8 hours!

Got a whole host of other games to go back to - Alan Wake 2 for example, though I was left scratching my head on that one, as the flashlight doesn't seem to work like the first game - the constant beam doesn't seem to do any damage, and the boosted beam seemed really hard to hit the spot - so I ended up burning my supply of batteries leaving me at a point of being a bit defenceless

God of War Ragnarok - annoyingly I bought it at the end of last year on offer intending to start it immediately, then got into the Alan Wake 2 DLC instead, only for GoW to end up on PS+ this month. In any case, as someone who tends not to be a fan of melee-heavy games I really enjoyed the story, characters and exploration of the previous one while playing on an easier difficulty and it's much the same for this one. Looks great too, I'm using the 40fps VRR mode and it still feels smooth.

Also started Sniper Elite: Resistance in co-op with my mate yesterday. It seems to have picked up some criticism for being more of the same but that's no bad thing as far as I'm concerned, and that was largely what the Hitman trilogy was built on. I'm not sure the visuals are entirely on par with SE5, it's like there's a layer of post-processing or something missing, but it's not bad.

Rollercoaster Tycoon on the Switch plays really well and taking me back to PC days of old, worthwhile purchase for anyone considering it.

Downloaded Halo Wars definitive edition as it's on Gamepass. I absolutely loved the original release on the 360 despite not caring one bit about Halo. I still love this game, I just wish unit selection was a bit better.

I finished (well, I think I have) The Stanley Parable. Felt like those adventure books you read as a kid where you would jump to a certain page number to continue. There are various endings and I lost interest pretty sharpish...

Urgh. Sniper Elite 5 isn't going so well compared to 4...the first map alone is gigantic and took 2.5hrs. Its set in a French town but sniping positions are few and a lot of the time I was fighting at close quarters. Doesn't help that the movement of Karl and his handling of a rifle feel a bit stiff.

I'm still working my way through the new Indiana Jones game, I'm constantly getting distracted with side quests! On the plus side to that, I have all of the medicine bottles collected :p
One thing did catch me off guard so far... That bloomin big snake section!!! Took me a few attempts to get through the swimming section

I'm still enjoying Dragon Age on pro.

Alongside that I've also finally gone back to Flintlock after it not clicking with me the first time. I've now got way further and killed 2 major God's and got to the 2nd open world section. Its a little grindy but fun game.

I finally caved and spent £37 on Destiny 2s latest dlc and season pass via the sale on the Lightness & Darkness collection. I will probably just playthrough the expansion and a few seasonal bits - I always tend to get the expansion late just to to save a bit of money. It is still a great shooter and I'll get my moneys worth out of it.

Also treated myself to Eternal Strands it looks like a cool game and was reasonably priced.

I'm currently playing Dragon Quest 3 HD 2D.

I loved XI and hadn't played any of the others before. I'm loving how so much from XI is from the other series and I didn't even realise. Monsters, Mini Medals and so on. Loving it

Started KCD2 yesterday - looks to be more of the same, just at a higher framerate and slight better graphics; so win win!

Seems they probably didn't play test before release though, as there are some odd lighting bugs - turning off blurring seems to then cause the screen to flash white in certain circumstances. Oh, and for one NPC the voice acting is dire - sounds like a Jamaican woman trying to do a medieval accent lol - but oddly, when you talk to said character later, it's a different voice

Had a quick go of KCD2 earlier it seems ok so far although not far in as I have Man Flu and struggling a bit. It does have a few bugs I have noticed even in my short time playing. Textures flicker a fair bit and NPC”s walk through each other and you quite often.

There are no bugs, the game is perfect, it must be you /s

Abioic Factor, Enshrouded & Valheim as they aren't finished so play when they are updated.

Must finish Horizon Forbidden West as I started KCDII to get through the intro and of course it's so appealing with the general update to the game systems.

I finally beat the final boss in Flintlock- the 2nd phase was tough and took me a fair few attempts to finally nail.

I'm currently downloading the MH WILDS Beta test 2 - mainly to checkout dual blades as i always main them in this series.

I've still not heard anything back from my Elden Ring Nightrein Beta application - it's official From Soft hates me lol
