Games you're playing, and games...

With PSN down decided to try and clear some of my Xbox backlog, spent afternoon completing the DLC for Cyberpunk 2077, loved it. Now just need to finish the main game. Downloaded Indy and Stalker 2 ready to go next.

I'm still working my way through the new Indiana Jones game, I'm constantly getting distracted with side quests! On the plus side to that, I have all of the medicine bottles collected :p
One thing did catch me off guard so far... That bloomin big snake section!!! Took me a few attempts to get through the swimming section
It's such a good game, completed the main story and just finishing up the the remaining side quest and collectables, but I've encountered a known bug (radio frequencies related) that's going to prevent 100%. :(

I've just finished the main story and just have the collectables to fetch, I wasn't aware of a bug with the radio frequencies though, I'll have to have a look into that.

I did encounter a bug during one of the cog puzzles where one of the cogs disappeared from existence, thankfully a checkpoint restart fixed this

I really need to go back to Cyberpunk. I quit when it was a mess when it came out but it's a world a part now form what I hear.

I never played it on release but I saw the Digital Foundry video and memes of the issues. It's not perfect now but I never encountered any game breaking bugs but performance did vary, could feel slowdown in the DLC city (Probably why it was current gen only). This was on a TV without VRR. I would recommend using two save files to be on the safe side and just alternate between the two.

Yeh, that is sound advice. I have the luxury of VRR on my TV so will be interested to see if that makes any difference.

38 hours into KCD2 and only just done the wedding mission - quite funny, as the next bit looks like it'll be a breeze, as I have pretty high stealth and thievery stats, so have been able to pickpocket and pick the hardest locks with no issues.

Really enjoying this game!

I’ve just uninstalled kingdom come deliverance 1 because of that lock picking system, it’s literally impossible and I’m not wasting my time on it. It’s a shame because I like the feel of the rest of the game but when there’s a mechanic that’s simply broken it’s no fun, it looks like it’s similar in the second game too so I’m not even gonna bother with that.

You need to level Henry up in lock picking, it gets a lot easier. Rather than use your thumb on the right stick to pick the lock, hold it with finger and thumb. You get a lot more control.

Unicorn Overlord - very good fantasy/strategy game.. IF you like grind inn your games then this is the one for you - loads of stats, levels, gear etc etc to slowly level up as you progress through the campaign.

Only downside for me is that you set up your squads/tactics/skills etc and then they auto-battle - would have preferred it to have been full-on turn base but still excellent.

Can anyone recommend the Monster Hunter games, I see there is a new one out at month end. Worth getting the last game and playing it first?

God of war Ragnarok.

Finding this a mixed bag. Combat is great but just the story isn't hitting home like the first. The story in the first just kept building into a great climax but with all the charterer swapping (some pairings I just find annoying) It's like 3 steps forward then two steps back.

Now when the spear was made the scene after hit hard!! Got a bit dusty in the room hah only real time I felt connected to the story. Hope for more of that.

Would actually also have preferred for there to be more build options early to mid game.

Almost broke me too and I am playing it right now as well. I couldn’t lockpick for **** but I persevered. It’s deliberately unforgiving early on. Only pick very easy locks at first and you’ll level up quickly. Level 3 gets you stronger picks and hey presto you’ll pick most things then. Check you’ve got simplified lockpicking on it the settings. It is a crap mechanic I agree but it does get easier.

I am just exploring now as I’ve again reached the wall that I had reached previously after the farm murder investigation. Noped out of that fight and I am just hunting and training and doing some side stuff. It’s a brilliant world to explore and Henry is cool.

Installed it again 10 minutes later as I couldn’t be defeated. Managed to pick the lock eventually after using simplified controls and watching a simple YT guide which explained it very well, now made it to the miller and doing a little quest for him and lady Stephanie and I feel like the world is just starting to open up (need to do the combat tutorial now to learn master strikes).

I agree the world is incredible and is why I preserved and pushed on, it feels like a proper old game with zero modern game sensibilities which sounds like it shouldn’t work or be fun, but it is, it’s the most fun (lockpocking aside) I’ve had in a game for a long time

Worth it but don’t expect an easy ride and take your time. It’s pretty unique.

Edit. And in this world of remakes and remastered games well let’s enjoy something different and at times bonkers. I am having a blast with it but yes it is frustrating at times. Fair play to them for trying something new and interesting.
