Thought I'd have a look at Crysis remastered on the Series X. Currently on sale at £14.99 on the Microsoft store. Well. Like. Yeah. Now I know why.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 didn’t last very long but it was a great improvement over the first one. I’m sure the smoke effects in Frostbite are the best in the business. Real thick stuff that you can’t see through with no colour banding.

Next up - Battlefield 3!

Will be done with alien isolation in the morning - superb game.

Not sure what to move to next... I seem to keep putting off valhalla - but that's because i kind of plan to space that out, being the first game i ever bought gold version of.

Sort of tempted by dragon age origins and Skyrim.

Or buy days gone...

Finished Prey today. Absolutely loved it. I played System Shock 2 occasionally over Christmas too (with some Graphics mods) and I really like how much it influenced it. Arkane are one of my fave developers these days

No, BF3 Multiplayer was is still the bees knees and is still quite active.

didn’t manage to unlock all the guns on the first. But I think they pop back up in the second as mil-spec/higher rated right ?

The campaigns are all pretty boring in the BF games. They are very pretty though. BFV SP particularly is one of the best looking games I have ever seen.

It'll lock you for the duration of the story when it's all over you can go back and clean house so to speak. I'm sure they patched it so you can reset things like hordes to take them on again.

Yeah, it seems that way. Not sure if the prettier graphics can carry me through BF3. It's soooo boring and I'm itching to get on the more modern ones - BF4, 1 and V. It does have great lighting though. I imagine BF3 looks pretty good with Xbox's auto HDR if you have the right telly.

I've not tried the others yet though I have all of them but the HDR implementation in V is glorious on an OLED.

Finished Halo 4. Another one I enjoyed, perhaps not as much as some earlier iterations, but it had some varied gameplay.

Onto Halo 5 next.

Meanwhile carrying on with FH4, Legion and perhaps State of Decay 2.

Still keen to play Hellblade.

Will have to see what else I fancy on game pass.
