Games you're playing, and games...

God of War. Was always a bit curious about it but I'm not normally a fan of hack and slash type games so that put me off. Really glad I decided to give it a go, I'm playing on easy just to make the combat more forgiveable but there's so much more to it than that anyway. The story is great, the exploration is really enjoyable and the environments are pretty vast. It's completely surpassed my expectations, and has got me quite excited for Ragnarok now whereas before it wasn't even on my radar.

Maquette. Quite enjoying it!

I was once I turned the volume off and played music. I didn't like the weird exchanges one bit.

Nier Automata for a Game Pass quest. I don't think I've ever been so bored.

It's a weird one for sure. I feel it may get better but I wasnt really enjoying it until ten hours in.

Dirt 5, completely underwhelming. Looks great and the first couple of races are fun until you realise there is no variation, just race after race in the same format. Think I've been spoilt but the Forza Horizon series.

Yakuza like a dragon. Liking it so far. Although, can never seem to scrape up enough cash for decent weapons.

add to that I’ve just changed jobs and found out I need all new weapons again. Damn.

Just finished Jedi Fallen Order, that ending though. Really enjoyed it all the way through, amazing graphics, sound, combat, never felt repetitive which is something I generally hate with games and for once I followed the story so it must have been good.

NHL 20 via EA Play, not had an NHL game for a good few years, I can't really afford to buy games as often so £20 for Play for the year is decent imo.

I'm guessing you didn't go for completing the crates/secrets etc?

It was great, but not sure how it can be said to not feel competitive given the game design forces you be unable to reach the next stage on maps, requiring you to learn a new skill else where and to then return and go through the same areas you've just done. If the game was do 1 map and finish en do next and finish, it'd have been half the length imo. Its the one thing I was annoyed about the game. Going through that sith dusty planet was Particularly annoying

The Metroidvania elements in the game were actually some of the things I enjoyed most about it. I am a sucker for those types of exploration - blocked path, learn skill, go back to blocked path - games though.

Nah I'm not a completionist, I rarely ever do things like that and just play the story once its done its done. I rarely ever buy DLC either.

If I was to pick fault with it then yeah the hopping back to a planet you've just been to was a bit WTF but when I was there shredding through it I enjoyed it
