Played the 1st 3/4 Gears with a friend of mine but he's abroad. Doesn't feel the same playing solo, need my buddy!

I, for the life of me, can't get Gears 5 Hivebusters to install. It's showing as installed in the OS but the game says it's not. First annoyance with Xbox. I don't fancy the idea of deleting it and redownloading 90-odd GB again.

Have you tried force closing the game ..home screen, 3 lines over tile and then highlight quit game. Sometimes i have to do that as game doesn't load properly. Did have the same issue with one game, though mind a bit foggy over it(just been told by my son it was Anthem..think I had to bite the bullet and delete/reinstall..think was a case of doing it just before bed and leaving xbox on overnight to do it's thing. If i remember correctly said i had dowbloaded but hadn't actually downloaded the correct vol so something had failed.
did a quick google search..seems happenned more than once with gears..mostpeople deleted and reinstalled

Playing Tsushima, just the right difficulty for me and not a thousand combos to remember. Enjoying it in the same way I enjoy AC games, brain off and explore.

I'm currently enjoying wreckfest and Jedi Fallen Order on ps5.

I can't put my finger on it but something in the combat seems wrong on Jedi, I don't like having to double tap to roll and it seems slightly sluggish. Maybe I've been spoilt by Sekiro, des, nioh and dark souls

I downloaded this onto my son's series X as we have Game Pass but not got round to playing it yet. Does look good though and apparently is the best Star Wars title in years?

I bought it for my son before it came on gamepass..played it myself when it did. Found it really good fun, esp after you start to get a few jedi powers. Definitely worth a visit...looking forward to the next installment

Has there ever been a good Star Wars game? The franchise just represents cheese for me the films, the games, very very low quality stuff.

Just like the films, it varies from pinnacle of the genre to a streaming turd.

The Jedi Knight games and KotOR are the best, with Fallen Order being right behind them.

So I’ve ended up playing Maneater on game pass. It’s really grindy and I have no idea how long it’ll hold my attention, but I’m quite enjoying it currently.

Working my way through the Mass Effect trilogy, slowly, doing every part of it I can. I love those games. Not touched the original Mass Effect since 360 days, really enjoying it. While the combat and UI can be a bit trying at times the world, story and atmosphere more than make up for it.

Then on the side I do a bit of Fallout 76 and NHL21.

Oh and for so reason I installed Peggle2 from EA Play so do a couple of rounds of then when chilling.

Forza Motorsport 7 - Finishing off single player and getting the last few achievements. Current doing the Sebring 300 Showcase (81 laps, approx 3hr race, without Quick Resume i wouldn't have bothered, still have lemans 250 to do). The game still looks and plays great, not bad for a game from 2017.

Forza Reward's normally get fixed around a month before new releases, i need around 250 points from FM7 to max out the whole console series.

Still playing State of Decay 2 - a very underrated game - new update tomorrow.

Still playing Dirt Rally 2.0 - the best rally game i've played. bought it with all DLC in one for the Xbox sales for about £8, 4k60 on Series X like it was on One X.

Still playing Ride 4 - great bike game, pretty much Forza Motorsport but on bikes instead of cars. If only there were more people in multiplayer on Series X|S..

Played a bit of The Outer Worlds, Psychonauts & Hellblade as the 2nd of each are on their way at some point and i hadn't tried them. All are good, i don't know how far i'll get into them though.

Played a bit of Titanfall 2 at the weekend. Just finished the timehoping mission through the lab building. Really enjoying it so far, some varied playing styles and enough action - feel unstoppable inside BT. That particular time travel feature was very well done. I fail most of the jumps for the first few attempts, love the way it respawns you right back to where you were. Saves me rage quitting.
Hows the multiplayer on there? Is it deathmatch style or can you coop the missions?

Had a ps4 for a while. Just got a ps5
Transferred games im bothered about over to the 5.

But not purchased any ps5 games yet.

Any I should consider?

Enjoyed in the past on the 4.....

Competed single player. Enjoyed it though not that long. Unfortunateley you can't play it in co-op mode which would have been fun
My son the main multiplayer. Attrition is the most popular, where 2 teams fight each other...1st to get a certain level of points wins. You start without your Titan, but the more opponenets you take out gives you the ability to call in a Titan....then there capture flag and few others...all team events I think, no battle royale style(they have a 'last man standing' but is still a team event and winner is team that still has a titan at the end.
Generally I play in private match with my sons and nephews..Generally my eldest against the rest of us and he still wins

I've been hitting Wreckfest pretty hard this week. Tis good fun in SP but people seem to get raging on MP when you take them out. Its a demolition game FFS
