Games you're playing, and games...

Chasing enemies you can't kill is annoying no doubt, RE2 remake a lot of people hated MR X for that reason, even some mods without him, I'm 50%/50% on concept as long as can figure out easily enough where to go. I've enjoyed stealth games in the past but I have way less tolerance for them now.

In RE1 though you can eliminate any of those crimsonheads even appearing at all very easily early in the game, if you try on easy with Jill you can kill most things and only have to run a few times.

Spoilers don't seem to be working at the moment but I did put how to stop the Crimson heads appearing in my prior post, most good runs you can prevent them appearing at all really easily, just by collecting the right items. Well worth trying again, RE1 remake is such a great game, its atmosphere is off the charts.

I was bored yesterday so I decided to retry dark souls 3 on ps5. I had forgotten how good this game is. I ended up having a 5 hour plus session (with a couple of coffee breaks). I've just beaten the Crystal Sage although I still need to farm up all the items in the crab swamp. I'm trying out the butchers knife which seems pretty good but I may swap it out later. I think the area ahead of the sage has some enemies drop the great machete which I've not yet tried so I may try and test that out this time.
I own them all digitally and have a PS5 as well. Psyching me self up to it. One day!

Having just watched this video it's clearly the tension that stresses me out, not fear:

That makes sense as things liek fog of war in competitive RTS games against other humans makes me very stressed too.

Guardians of the Galaxy on Series X it looks and runs great and is far better than I was expecting a bit like Jedi Fallen order with the Guardians. It also has one if not the best soundtracks in a game…..

Half way through Assassin’s Creed III and it’s way better than I was expecting from all the stuff I’ve read about it over the years. The environment graphics on PS4 Pro are beautiful. The combat is really fun, you can see how they tightened it up from Ezio’s games. And I’m getting an enlightening US history lesson to boot.

Do they put more effort into the games? As opposed to the movies which are like the fast food of film.

Lots of people didn’t like it, but I really enjoyed it. It’s a really atmospheric game at times, especially in the winter season and the combat is great fun. The historic setting is a favourite of mine too. This was peak series of AC for me going from AC2 which was an incredible story, AC3 that was incredibly atmospheric to Black Flag that was just incredibly fun. Great memories.

I'm playing FFXIII. I only played and finished it once on launch, I recall afterwards thinking I enjoyed it but when playing I wasn't so sure, hard to explain.
I was puzzled why it looked decent and then I read it got some upgrade for the one X to 4k Res which explained it.

If you don’t like the films I doubt you would like the game. Although the characters look a bit different it’s the same humour and banter. I’m really enjoying it so far.

Condemned: Criminal Origins is on sale for £3-something so I picked that up. Got a few old 360 games that are piling up now. Be interesting to play it again, it's one of the launch titles I absolutely loved.

I had it a launch too. Felt a good step forward in the genre at the time, plenty scary and atmospheric too. Be interesting to see if it holds up today.

Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart

Really enjoying it so far. Great use of the controller, great audio, stunning visuals, really fluid gameplay abs very immersive. 60fps RT is such a great feature. A good selection of difficulty options too.

As you enjoyed the other one you’ll like this too. It’s more of the same really though a massive step up in visuals and sound. The rift transitions are great fun as well.

Finally get to try Red Dead Redemption 2 after three years. LOL. I've only got 4 days left with it on PS Now so will barely scratch the surface but from what I've played so far, it does seem quite good.

Coming to the end of Resident Evil Village - just got a lift from that fat bloke, to the final showdown (I presume). Rest of my gaming time is taken up by Hell Let Loose - those [potential] 1hr 30mins matches take some time to complete!!!
