just cleared the game.
things that should be in this....

the old exit.
treasure level
1000s of levels not 40 something :(
make our own levels
use potions like the old one :)
have death pop on the odd level like he used to :)
 
Had a good run with a random group despite the barbarian quitting straight away we cleared 1 full level with the 3 of us, then the elf quit after a death and we finished just Merlin (me) and Valkyre.

Got 7 mastery on the elf and 3 on the Wizard, loads to go still :p

I don't think it's a game you can sit and dedicate a day to but for a good hour of fun I like it, though Merlin is beyond me a little and I just ended up fireball spamming :p

I'm trying desperately to get 3 mates to chip in and get the 4-pack but this post has worried me a little!! :(

Seriously no treasure level or potions????? :confused:
 
I've had a treasure level, Death has popped up and chased us around and not sure what you mean regarding the potions - they are used for the abilities you can skill into.

Wouldn't think that list is anything to go by StevieP is my 4 hours on the game have raised all them - seems common enough to me!
 
My level 40 wizard is officially badass. We are halfway through the caves chapters on unfair difficulty now. I'm tempted to mix it up and try out another class, but I love the complexity and variety of playing wizard. It's a fairly essential character to have as well. Warrior can be really powerful if played well, same with valkerie. Elf is a good all rounder as well, but mainly for cover and hit and run attacks.

That wizard guide on steam is rubbish. Ice beam is a crucial tool for taking out spawn towers thanks to its high dps. You chuck the orb at the tower, pop a shield sphere around yourself and start beaming the crap out of the tower while your buddies take out the guys spawning from it and protect you to avoid having to start the beam up again. Move onto the next tower and if you are still waiting for the orb and shield to cool down then you can use the freeze wave to lock off one side (frozen enemies block paths of other enemies) and chuck the arc fireball to clear out any big mobs. Then sphere up and icebeam as long as you can. Teleport out (preferably through a large mob to cause fire damage) then chuck an orb at the tower to help your buds and chain lightning some mobs if they have built up a bit. Rinse and repeat. The short lightning blast is only useful when you get cornered and your other spells are cooling down, or to break pots.

hope they make a lot more levels not enough imo ;)

Gauntlet v1.02 (Patch 2) 10-02-14

* Key binding settings now available for Keyboard and Mouse Controls.

* All Resolution Options should now be displayed in the Settings UI.

* The Spider Queen will no longer spawn hatchlings behind the entrance gate in ‘The Caverns of Mag’Ash.

* Our heroes can now successfully navigate through the Chasm in ‘The Burning Temple of Dur’ where they previously encountered issues.

* User will no longer be blocked by Grabbing the Block before it
explodes in Cavern of Mag'Ash.

* Previously 1 local save file was being used regardless of number of steam accounts used on a PC in this Patch, local save files will be unique to the different Steam users that created them.

* Heroes can now successfully traverse the ‘Crypts of the Sun King’ even in rooms with 3 locked doors.

* Undying Heroes will now be awarded their Masteries upon completing the chapter.

* The user will no longer fall out of world when respawning in the area near the
first block to push down in Caverns of Mag’Ash.

* Life bar no longer overlaps ‘Enemy Encountered’ text in Beast of Orox boss battle.

* Various overlapping and cut off text fixes have been addressed in different languages.
 
played this last night for a few hours as elf really enjoyed it.
Updated gfx drivers, crashing left right and centre :(
Removed drivers cleared registry, reinstalled old beta drivers I was using before and still crashing :(

Verified cache fine too.

Anyone else having issues?
 
More levels are definitely needed on this although I don't think we're going to get them.
We're on the last boss on unfair difficulty and he's a complete whore to kill, his sword attack seems to get me every time as Valkyrie.

May see more levels but I doubt it too, my interpretation is that it is pretty much an arcade sim, pick it up, play, put it down. Whilst they have some advancement there isn't a huge amount of depth. Still liking it that said :)

That guy is tough. As soon as the demons start coming then it all goes to hell (see what I did there). Those flying ones always kill me.

Dev I just discovered that if I put my shield up I don't take damage to the sword attacks either! That's probably going to make things a little easier for us although I think we get let down by having a crappy warrior and a skanky archer.
