Went to Brum this morning to buy this which will be used as a stage monitor facing back at me because I only have 25% hearing which is causing difficulties on stage.

Love the small Blackstar amps. Got tired of trying to practise at home with the 50w JCM800 and got the HT-1R, sounds amazing. The headphone/emulated out is impressive.

I'm a fan of the Line 6 amps for studio work but this is in another class. I asked if I could turn it up loud and a couple of punters came in thinking I was playing a 100 watt valve amp or similar.
The crazy bit is that I'll be plugging my Line 6 HD500 into it and I will leave it on a clean sound.

I've been looking hard at one of those Dimple, they look (and sound) very impressive, but i'm a stompbox man so it seems a bit of a waste leaving it clean all the time.

I could always just use the full features of the amp but making stompboxes is my hobby so i'm not wanting to stop using those.

I'm seriously considering not using my HD500 because the only thing I will miss is a wah which I use for one song.

Im looking at getting an Ibanez SR600 natural flat Bass guitar.

Anyone had one? theres very few reviews for them on google and even less on youtube :(

I'm looking to get a my self an acoustic guitar; being a total beginner I need some recommendations on what I should get, I don't want to spend too much on one to start off with though. What do you recommend?

I'm no expert on acoustics as I only really play electric but i'd say your best bet is to go to a guitar shop or two and try some out. Go with a budget in mind and see what advice the shop staff can give.

I know it's a lot easier to buy online but you really need to go and feel the guitars in my opinion. Hopefully you'll find something that feels comfortable.

So I got an M-Audio Fast Track USB interface to play with, still getting to grips with it but here are my first attempts at playing with recording and Guitar Rig effects (some bits out of sync a bit). I play all guitar and bass, drums are arranged using Addictive Drums.

Decided to do a Pink Floyd Breathe sample when I found an effect that was close to the slide sound in that:

And a token Opeth cover:

And a little SRV:

And some America:

And gave Wish you were here a bash to see how it sounds micing up my 12 string through it:

Loads of **** ups but it was just for fun :D

Oh I also got a new amp to throw about for little jams, a VHT Special 6 Ultra...changed the chinese tubes out straight away to JJ tubes, but apart from that what an amazing amp, complete bargain!

Sounds awesome

Nice playing, never really got into acoustic playing but I do appreciate others doing it.

I've also realised that i've posted in this thread and not posted some gear which is bad form, so here's some of my stuff:-

Bad pics:-

Amp is a Vox AC4TV, guitar a Washburn X200 pro. As you can probably see most of the pedals are clones, it's a lot cheaper then buying the originals.

The pedals I have set up at the mo are a Ditto Looper, digital reverb (has dual buffered outputs which is handy for 2 amps), deep blue delay, emma reezafratzitz, wampler triple wreck, lovepedal les lius, crybaby wah (just true bypass modded as the buffer is rubbish), korg tuner.

The other pedals are some stuff I had knocking about downstairs, I have a bit more stashed away but the stuff here is a deep blue delay/suhr riot/timmy overdrive in one, fulltone plimsoul, rockett animal, barber dirty bomb, ada flanger, zvex fuzz factory, fulltone ocd and a brunetti mercury box.

I have a thing for overdrives and distortion pedals, got some nice stuff now. I tend to build a load of pedals and sell off what doesn't work for me. I have to say that I have had a few nice surprises really, and the les lius, reezafratzitz and ocd are fantastic.

EDIT..

Figured i'd see what else I had, take stock. Here's the remaining stuff:-

There's an aqua puss delay, dr quack auto wah, hummingbird overdrive, noisy cricket amp (in teeny enclosure - PITA to build), PT2399 based echo with modulation, phase 90, klon buffer, noisy cricket in normal sized enclosure, zombie chorus, catalinbread RAH, mosfet booster, wampler ecstasy and a runoffgroove may queen (treble/gain boost).

I've probably sold about 30-40 pedals, either custom orders or stuff I didn't use much, got a few bits in the works too.
