I really hate that the .exe is locked down. I cannot fine tune my mouse controls because of it and it uses the Windows default dpi which for me is 1000. So unless I change that which will affect desktop use I don't have any other alternative. I have reduced the mouse sensitivity to 1 in game before anyone asks.
I am playing on a tv 1080P mind you, and xbox version, but tomb raider was great, maybe i should install my PC version

I played the demo on Xbox One prior to the PC release. It still looked pretty good, but the controller response was terrible due to the 30 fps framerate.
PC version is stunning at 4k/60fps...which I played on my 58" 4K TV

Well a reboot did the trick, 60gb downloaded. 10 to go.
I'm not entirely sure, I just whacked the power bar up in wattman and started increasing clocks. I'll try to refine it tonight but I wasn't seeing crazy temperatures and think I can get it to run faster and possibly bring the power limit back down.
This where someone steps in and tells me I'm frying my card.
Yep, if I dont get my £10 from MS then going to ask them what are they playing at.
Push customers to buy it digitally because that's the only way you can get the PC version and use Play Anywhere then drop the price on release. When the retail version is cheaper but it doesn't have Play Anywhere.

I'm new to the series too, I now have 1 & 4 on PC but haven't got a console yet and it won't be an Xbox when I get one anyway.
I'm trying to decide whether to play 1 first.
I would mate... I'm lending a mates 360 and the games so I can play all of them but would recommend going through the first one anyway before the fourth

Gears 1 (360) probably my favourite ever multiplayer game. So many clans and matches just to play vs sniper only. Used to be a big thing back in its day lol. Similar to quick scoping on cod series. Still even now, people still play them.
Multiplayer aside. One of my favourite series campaign wise. Must play in my opinion

It does make sense so I suppose I should do one first it's just 4 looks real good and runs well, Mind you I don't think 1 is bad either, As long as it runs well.
Not a fan of the multi just seems as crap as i remember it to be in the first game, if you don't equip a shotgun you're pretty much ****ed if anyone gets close to you because somehow 1 shotgun round is more powerful than slamming 10 rounds from the lancer into the enemy.
Just seems to be rolling shotgun spam in close quarters, long range if you don't have a sniper don't bother as its like shooting at moles popping up and down out of holes. Get a couple of hits they duck and regen then popup again, rinse and repeat. There's just not enough damage inflicted from the assault rifles at range imo.
It'll keep me occupied til BF1 early access at least.
