Went online and seems the old annoying over powered roll and shotgun tactic has returned from gears 1 :/ sigh

Horde works fine on PC

I was watching a stream last night, some people that are good at this cover stuff are basically able to slide between cover spots really fast, the player models feet don't even move. Its literally like shotgunning on ice.

Yup it's insane it's making all other guns a complete waste of time I mean I'm not great at it online anyway but one team I faced all did the same ran around using shotguns only so when I was cornered on my own I couldn't do anything at all

Ah okay well I know gears1 the shotgun was over powered so it's a combo of that cack gears3 tactic mixed with gears 1 over powered gun :/

Complaining about shotguns in a Gears game, get outta here guys..!?

The original game was essentially shotguns and snipers and it was sublime. The shotgun in this feels like the unreliable POS from Gears 2/3 but I'm yet to start on the MP so I reserve judgement.

Shotgun was fine in gears2 and judgement yet again they messed with it and imo too powerful

It was awful in 2, you shot it and it hit the ground for some unknown reason?

#2 and Judgement were the worst games of the series IMO. Judgement was so bad I don't even consider it a true Gears game.

Of course I'm a hardcore Gears 1 fan who has never truly been hooked by any of the sequels so my viewpoint is very much that of someone with Gnasher tinted glasses.

I heard that theres no way to get a match outside of casual team death match on PC as all the PC players are in campaign and horde, any truth to this? As i love MP and its making me hold off purchasing!

Awwww man the shotty in GOW1 was a thing of beauty. 'Two-Piecing' with it was an utter joy. Especially the rage it caused

Never got the 'it's overpowered' cry from some players. It was quite easy to counter if you didn't like using it (or rather couldn't use it

)

It was utter muck in the subsequent games and MP never felt as fluid since the first game. 19x1 minute rounds of Raven Down were some of the best gaming times I've ever had.

Anyone having issues with the settings not saving? Everytime I go back into the game its reverted to the defaults.

Go into quick social (I think that's what it's called) and you won't have a problem getting a game at all, it's mixed modes and maps that the players vote on

I didn't even finish judgement .. felt a mess
gears 1 & 2 were my best although I am liking 4 a lot
