Gears Of War 4 (coming to Win 10 in Oct)

Multiplayer is very competitive so some might dislike it. If you're alone you should play social as small party sizes limit the stomping one could receive.

If you have a party size of more than 2 then core modes are you only option as there could be a 5 player team who know and talk to each other making games very competitive.
 
had a group of 4 who got to 40 last night, someone got disconnected at wave 30 and couldnt reconnect.

we ended up calling it a night at wave 40. it was 12 o clock.

i think the map makes a huge difference
 
Its hard to get a customised mp game like tdm because there doesn't seem to be all that many pc players. I think MS really hurt this games sales with it being windows 10 only.

Genuinely don't know why people did not grab the free upgrade. PC gamers are so stubborn lol

Its a shame really, Microsoft have literally just set the standard of how a PC game should be done.

Agreed!

I'm still working through the campaign and I'm continuously impressed with it. Smooth, looks good and most of all, it works!!!! All other devs should be taking notes, it's a totally stunning and seriously immersive.

I found the escape from the mine to be the hardest so far. I was so low on ammo that the snatcher really took some beating!!
 
Only tried the social multiplayer mode so far. its quite fun for an hour or so but then gets boring. havn't tried any other multiplayer modes yet.

waiting for a friend to finish downloading his so we can play the storymode in coop mode
 
So far me and a few friends only managed to get to wave 27, the snatcher boss however can do one! We haven't been able to kill it once yet we had it 3 times in s roe and game took pity so changed boss :/
 
So is it safe to assume this is worth buying? I've only ever played the first Gears of War so game play over story this time.

Worth it?

Well that seems counter productive to the whole game itself then :mad: None of the reviews mentioned this was xbox specific and the reason I brought it. Got to hope I can get Microsoft to refund then. What a load of crock.
 
good luck playing standard modes quick play seems to be the only mode that works correctly and fast, if you pick them you wait agesssssssss then network times out lol

same goes for coop....
the only person that seems to stay playing is the host player the other player keeps getting kicked out....

there is a huge thread on gears of war 4 forums about it and its being delt with but when a fix comes out no idea.
 
I'll buy it tomorrow and see if it's worth all the fuss. Though I feel I should wait for a friend to do it co-op. Is the campaign 2 or 4 player? iirc the first was only 2 player

Only Horde for xbox players though so I am seeing if I can get a refund as it doesn't state that on their description anywhere which means me and the misses can't play horde together which was only reason I brought it.
