Agreed .. I use an xbox elite controller and set the paddles at the back for changing weapons etc

Keep an eye on the members market for a copy for £30.
As for MP? Its cross platform play vs Xbox 1 as well so its never going to be dead. Its seamless as well and havent had any problems playing with XB1 peoples

Me too. This games built for controller play ,as are most games made cross platform these days to be honest. Tried it on KBM and it felt OK but I'm loving my elite controller

I thought crossplay was only for campaign or horde, no competitive multiplayer?

thats a shame as that's the main mode I used to play on the original gears!
hopefully the community stays healthy as can see myself playing this for a while.
is their a big disadvantage using controller as I only use controllers and play on my tv (comfy couch gamer!)

FYI, there's a PSA on the PCGaming subreddit for this, but splitscreen is only for the campaign currently. Some folks are hoping it will make it's way into multiplayer too, like it used to be in the older games (GoW series is well known for XB360 splitscreen).
Why is multiplayer awful. The only issue I have is that there does not appear to be many people online 
Also I thought it was meant to be split screen on horde as that's what the reviews said? I only brought it for this tbh so me and misses could play sometimes. Is that not the case then?

Also I am up for some games once in a while. Haven't played gears since gears 2 so way rusty and have to play pad because it's way it's mean to be played so still working on what sensitivity it needs to be played on etc.
In terms of graphics it is lovely for the most part but there are some really random items in game that are blurry for no apparent reason like all orange boxes. The texture never seems to load in for them. Large doors often have their textures struggling to load.
This needs resolving really. Doesn't matter if I play on low through to ultra always the same result for these blurry items.

It seems as though this is the case for PC due to the fact that windows store doesnt support multiple accounts logged in at once like the xbox does.
