Gears Of War 4 (coming to Win 10 in Oct)

I don't think that shows the difference between inputs.
I think it shows the difference between a sniper and an assault rifle in the hands of a low down, dirty kill thief :p
 
Worthabuy youtube channel wasn't impressed by the game. Which is no surpise, seems if a shooter isn't quake 3 he automatically hates it.

Can't even take WAB seriously anymore. There is a fine line between rant and review and he makes no valid arguments rather forces his own opinion which I haven't agreed with for a long time now.

Saying that I am biased towards GOW as I love the campaigns. I only wish they were longer.
 
I ran the benchmark on GOW4 and it was terrible avg 15-21fps and it was sluggish to watch but it set my game to ultra anyway and in game it was just as bad.

I'm running
i5 6600k 3.2ghz
Zotac gtx 1070 founders 8gb
16gb ddr4

It runs like a POS on my system

anyone else?

Same GPU and 16gb Ram but I7 6700k @ stock and I average 60fps (16.7ms) cant see that the cpu would make that much of a difference?

Something is not right there you should be hitting 60fps with that setup..check settings and display mode is set to full screen:)

oh are you 1080p or 1440p ?
 
Nope 1080p I've since uninstalled it as i lost patience trying to solve it and it looked crap anyway (i know it has its fans) but the engine just looks outdated now.

Not for me sorry!
 
It's the Unreal 4 Engine - Not dated at all.

Had problems in any other games? Because that isn't right.

I have a Titan X (Maxwell 2) which is only slightly better than a GTX 1070 and get 60+ fps at 3440x1440 Ultra settings.

I am sorry but it doesn't look that way at all. The engine is the latest and it looks excellent. Yeah you may not like the artwork but that is not the same thing.

Also not had your issues, yeah I got bored of the game quick and that but nothing wrong with it as such.

None in any other games but the benchmark produced horrible results the textures were bad and the frames were also bad. i tweaked settings down to medium etc and still bad. Even tried act1 and still it was poor performance don't know why it was so as i checked out videos on youtube with a 1070 and it chewed through it constant 60fps on 4K

Might just of been an issue with the install as it stopped three times and i had to delete and try again. Microsoft store is such a mess on PC
 
When I had it running it was superb and looked good with average fps at 60. Unfortunately a PC crash and a two day effort to reinstall the game means I have not played for a while.

I do so agree. A situation they are well aware of but either cannot or will not fix.
 
I wanted to try it again but at 80gb file size, even though i'll download easily enough just putting up with the constant hangs in download and being able to do nothing about it with no options to check the speed etc. I was going to take a look at forza horizon 3 but meh i'll pass.

They should just hand over to steam in the same vein ubisoft allowed steam to run their titles as long as it handed over to ubi software then all is well.

They are not doing a very good job of getting the PC gamers on board.
 
After 4 days and three reinstall of Windows I finally installed the game. Thanks Microsoft and Windows Store.
Bad news is there is a major update due on the 1st November.
 
I don't think so as I had an email from Microsoft telling me how wonderful gaming will be on the Xbox/Windows 10.
Until they get the delivery sorted then Microsoft and PC gaming are going nowhere.

Just a heads up there is a big update on the 1st of November I wonder how many hours that will take to download as there was absolutely no mention of the major issue in downloading the game so many of us had. A issue Microsoft has said it was working on.
