Gears Of War 4 (coming to Win 10 in Oct)

I think this game sucks. I am more than half way through and after you find your father and stop fighting the COG the game loses it's fun factor and sense of humor and you just fight more mindless swarm like in the last 4 games. Boooooring.

Also, is this the best Microsuck could do with the most powerful engine on the market? The lighting is sheit.
 
Not touching it until I can buy it on Steam. Not seeing much hype around the game either so I've got a feeling this one is going nowhere either.
 
Microsoft have a lot of work to do on their games delivery system. You would have thought they could have come up with something far better than the current farce. So many of us had issues downloading this game an issue Microsoft was/is fully aware of and according to their Asian customer service rep, something they are working on. Yet absolutely nothing from Microsoft themselves. Why are you unable to put a game where you want or verify game files if necessary? Why use the store at all which is Okay for small apps but not 70+Gb games?

It will be a long time before i buy another Microsoft game.

I am just about finished and although the game looked good it was pretty much run down corridors to the next fight, rinse and repeat. I must admit some of the fights were intense and I have no idea what the multiplayer is like but worth the hype and for me 4 days and 3 installs of Windows 10? Probably not.

As for the campaign, it was a bit poo in this one tbh...
It's a shame that it's your first Gears, as you'd have probably liked the first three a lot more.
The basic formula is the same, but they were just better games.
 
Well after battling to figure out what the issues were that I had in games such as micro lag and general fps issues I trawled through the internet and found some posts about conflicts with amd and intel drivers.

I had changed from an amd cpu to intel recently as well as other hardware so this must have caused some issues somewhere.

I reinstalled a fresh windows and voila the problem has gone. Now getting a solid frame rate at all times.
 
Once I managed to actually download it I must admit it has performed very well and I have been getting average frame rates of 60.
 
my bro has been trying to download the update but he cant download it at the moment? anyone else having the same?
 
Been playing with a couple of guys, me and one guy on PC, the other on xbone. Up until last night everything was perfect. Then last night out of the blue I've got this problem with network settings preventing me from joining voice chat. It was working perfectly before!
Anyone encountered this? Something to do with Teredo.
 
Having a quick glance at this thread I can see there are issues with this game. I've just recently changed my GPU but this game appears to stutter in places, is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

I had that same problem when I first bought the game on release, it was a pain in neck to fix, and too long an explaination on here. You fix it in command promt. Google it, I found a working guide on the gears of war PC Reddit page. Go through it step by step carefully, and do everything it says in order. It's a pain and a strange problem, but it works
