Geforce GTX 780, 770 coming in May

Fresh drivers, card auto boosts to 1050 so all ok. No hassle as I will send it back its just not enough for 1440p 670 Sli gives a much better gaming experience.

The fan is also louder than both my 670's when it ramps up. Not annoying but very noticeable.

the latest drivers don't seem as smooth to me in BF3
I've not had the FPS counter up to check how that reads

when I went from 2 670's to 1 Titan I was getting the same FPS near as dammit at 1440p

Just been having a play with mine and tbh I'm not that impressed.

Metro is not smooth @ 2560x1440 it stutters every now and again. Crysis 3 is also not smooth and feels sluggish.

I expected it to be slower than my 670 Sli but so far it seems it is just not enough for 1440p gaming on it's own. It feels no different to my 680 in all honesty.

Going to play a bit more..

Thats odd, reviews seem to show it not that far off Titan/GTX690 in Metro

Maybe they were just lucky with their test runs or something.

If he bought it here I would like to pre-order a B Grade GTX780 :P

It's not as quick as a Titan and does not seem as smooth.

It's consistently about 1/3 sower than 670 Sli and I think 1440p really needs that extra 1/3.

For me

Metro last light bench 1440p no SSSA max settings.

670 Sli - Average 45, Max 121.71, Min 9.94
GTX 780 - Average 34.7, Max 81.81, Min 9.71

Metro is very noticeably better on the 670 Sli. I imagine it is optimised well for SLi.

Wow that is some pretty low FPS considering that is either 2 almost top end cards or the single fastest GPU available. Average 34 fps :/ Not even any anti aliasing.

My experience is the exact opposite, from 670 WF sli to single 780.
This finaly delivers the smoothness I've craved since 680 came out. (had 2 of these also in Sli)

I've only played MP3 and Bioshock, but its night and day better for me, sooo smooth @ 120hz and very very quiet. I have Vsync on and not adaptive and only running 1080p so not compairing apples v apples I know.

With a bit of over voltage I wouldn't be supprised if it boosted over 1200mhz!

Totally worth it so far IMO very very pleased! I'd choose this over my 670 sli anyday @ my res.

*Caution results may vary*

Mileage may vary as they say glad your happy. For me it just does not do the job well enough at 1440p. I have re-installed my 670's now just to make sure it's not all in my head and it is much smoother especially Metro and Crysis so much so it's visually noticeable.

I've tried Metro and it does get a bit choppy here too with Tesilation on high and SSAO off, not tried Crysis yet but that did run nice on my Sli prior.

Played BF3 for 2 hours and it was great, 70 degs, wisper quiet and no stutter, maybe a placebo effect but Input lag seemed much better, my score was a lot better than normal.

Skyrim is just amazingly smooth as per Bioshock and Max P 3.

Metro is just one of thoese games that needs so much more power than it should, I mean it's inside and hardly anything to render....

Seems like 1440P is a step to far which is a shame.
