Well obviously I'd see what the performance of the 780 is like first before making my decision. I predict AMD will have a new card out by August anyway even if it's just a re-hash of the current gen.
why not - most people buy the more enthusiast graphics cards to effectively "play with"
most decent cards - even 2 years old play the vast majority of recent games smoothly (unless at uber res)
so for instnace, I have a 570 - does it play all my games smoothly, near-maxxed out ? yes
do I fancy a new shiny 7 series to play with (or AMD equivalent) - yup
RRP is rumored at $399.
So price in UK not so great..
RRP: $399 / £259.71 + 20% VAT = 311.65 + ROB Hike + 10%: Total = £342.82 launch price?
Looking at £325 - £350 at launch depending on the retailer, 4GB editions up to and over £400.
I see that Titan styled cooler is a statement that gtx770 is a "leet" card, thus cant see it cheaper than £400. Titan £800, 780gtx £600, gtx770 £400...
once the prices come out then I can make my call on an upgrade from a 560Ti, whatever I pick from the 7xx range will be a nice boost and im not going to make a call on a new GPU till the details are out for real (and maybe some benches)
You'd be gutted if you spent 500+ on a rehashed 680 then a 6 months later for 500 AMDs card slaps yours silly.
Or of course buy a 770 at the end of the month for £350 and in 6 months sell it for £250 and buy whatever AMD have to offer and get 6 months good gaming out of the card.
just as likely

Get a used 680 for £250 and sell it 6 Months later for £220.
Anyone knows how succesfull was AMD's Never settle bundle ?
Competition is the only incentive for Nvidia to keep their prices low.
Isn't the GTX 770 just an overclocked GTX 680? Why would it be more expensive than that?

Only one 680 at £379, another at £389, the rest are £399+... 770 will be faster and thus be at LEAST as expensive, i.e. around £400+
THe Titan cooler styling is there to "justify" the pricetag as well. I dont see 770 at £350
