Geforce GTX 780, 770 coming in May

Well no, but take in to consideration the price it will likely be, and how a 20% boost only puts it in 7970GE territory and it's not too good.

It's all dependent on price, if they undercut the 7970, great, but what are the chances of that happening?

GE is probably +-5% quicker depending on game, AMD and Nvidia are/were evenly matched this gen.

I have just been searching game bench results and 20% would put it ahead by a fair margin over the 7970GE. AMD win some and Nvidia win some in the 680 Vs 7970

Nothing there that makes the 7970GE 20% faster than a 680.

There's these ones
http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/foru...orce-gtx-titan-6gb-performance-review-19.html

Put 7970 ghz 20% in front of 680 at 5760x1080p

only 7 percent at 2560 x 1080 though

I don't think it would be fair to use 5760x1080 as a general figure. Not that many of us who game at that. A good boost at that res though for the 7970 and showing how the bigger bus does help with massive resolutions.

It depends on the game sweet. The gtx680 sometimes wins by a small margin but in the games where the 7970ge is winning its sometimes just about matching titan which can give big swings.

I would say its around 10% from doing some reading. Most reviews put the 7970ge at around 30% slower than titan and the gtx680 around 40%.

Ok Hunny :D

We could spend all evening toing and froing with various games but that statement of 20% faster than a 680 was a little wishful thinking, the 7970GE is a great card and performs very well but 20% faster than a bog standard, no singing or dancing edition 680 is ermmmm, Wrong :)

Maybe someone could get the last 50 games released and add the wins losses up in %'s and then confirm how much faster the 7970GE is over the 680. I am not that fussed, so shan't be doing that.

I'll be Interesting to see how the 780 fairs at high res with the fatter bus and 3GB.

I think the 7970s lead at high res will be gone. ;)

Rofl, and that would matter why? The 780 is being released over a year later and will probably cost nearly double the price of a 7970. If you think that's a fair comparison then good for you :)

I am still going on rumours until an official site gives a proper review and break down of the card.

With you giving the wink, I assume you are in the know?

Think he is going on the leaked pic of an Asus GTX780 box that says 3GB on the front. Looked legit enough tbh.

I genuinely hope pricing isn't fully retarded :(

At least it appears to be using the Titan cooler which absolutely oozes quality :)

Definitely think it'll be 3GB considering the couple of different leaked images of the boxes.

Possibly and I have no idea. I just see a slide showing 5GB and a 320Bit bus. I take it all with a pinch of salt :)
