You really think so?
I might hang on a little then I'd be ecstatic to get a non-ref HIS or Sapphire 7950 for £200 with 3-4 free games.

Nice. I have the Cosmos 1100 with tons of fans so that's not a problem for me.
As for the cards I expect to keep them for a good 3 years or so. I ain't much of a jumper from one card to the next to get a bit of performance boost, I want to grab a good pair of crossfire cards and keep em. I currently have the 5970 which is a nightmare and nearly broke so I'm looking for something good now. I've searched for quite a while and the gigabyte 7950 is the one that stood out for me in all areas.
I do not have a bias to either company but my personal experience has been that AMD have been a lot less reliable with worse drivers and less features. I expect other people may have had a similar experience. I WANT to like amd more because of the pricing but that is my experience unfortunately... It is one of these things that people never agree with / understand until they experience it. From my personal experince with them and what my freinds have said as well if the prices were similar I would go NV.
Haha ! Not really though, I bought into Titan hype and bought one regretted it and sold it. Ever since I've been waiting on some decent priced GPU's.. Found the 7950's lol. Happy for a year or so on these beauty's. I'll join the next gen when the prices aren't bonkers
The way I see it, is AMD have better cards VS price. Nvidia do better in SLI. AMD have better bundles and Nvidia have better marketing.
Drivers are moot as they always need new ones and both companies work hard to get them as good as possible.
AMD do seem to be getting really involved with game developers now so the marketing thing may work for AMD going forward..
Both are good but AMD offers so much more bang for buck right now that they get my money..
7950's will be ideal then, just keep your eyes open for bargains on AMD cards over the next few weeks. AMD will drop prices to compete with Nvidia's new 7XX series (6XX series) cards..
Furry muff. I just have trouble keeping up with the amount of different gpu's i see you using.
I am a system builder so I do get to play with a lot of nice things from time to time. When it comes to my own rig I try and get best value VS performance. Sometimes the hype gets me though, Titan just wasn't that good to justify it's price for me. Was cool to try it out though. Will enjoy messing with these 7950's tbh, price is so much better. May just run 2 and give the other to my son. He's using a GTX 480 SOC atm..
People all over the internet on forums like this (though not this) need to stop the insane deluded Nvidia masturbation and utterly un-called for AMD hating..... for this is the result of that.
To be fair it isn't entirely un-called for, I.E I have never been a fanboy (since 3DFX died anyway ) but recently soured on AMD for the time being after I went though the process of buying a HD7950 boost only to have to switch to a GTX670 due to issues with AMD's drivers.
I still like AMD and will certainly give them a look in next time I'm upgrading GPU, but I do understand why people tout Nvidia's driver superiority and Physx because if they're important things to a prospective buyer then they're important.
Bit off topic but i don't suppose you know of any recent 7950 xfire benches do you on the latest games?
This.
ha..ha here we go.... ^^
Yeah NirK AMD cards always have problems, Nvidia never do, the world goes on and your case of PEBKAC gets worse each day.
