Geforce GTX 780, 770 coming in May

It looks a good deal as Nvidia has ripped everyone off with Titan. Considering it is twice the price of the 7970 but only about %20 better in certain games it offers appauling value for money but tbh being Nvidia this was expected.

You can almost guarantee all high end GPU's will now follow this pricing.
 
I'd be genuinely gutted if I'd bought a Titan unless I needed that 6GB Ram, I can see there being some angry Titan owners but it's their own fault, technology moves fast.
 
Damn looks like my guess of £650 is going to be off. I have to admit im surprised its lower than that considering the performance it offers relative to the titan. Still way too expensive for my liking though, xfire beckons for me.

Nope

I am very happy with mine.:)

There may be some angry GTX 780 owners out there in 2 or 3 years time when they realise that 3gbs of vram won't do it anymore.:D

Yes, but the Titan was never going to be a value for money card, i'm sure everyone who bought one knew that, or they should have done. It was hugely expensive card aimed 5% or less of the market.

It's not surprising there's far more value to be found in more popular 7850 - 670 - 7950 segment of the market, sort of of mid to mid upper range.

I don't class cards such as Titan or huge dual GPU cards as the top end - that's the 680 and 7970 to me, although of course Titan et al are the 'top cards' - they're kind of in a freak section on their own, and their prices reflect that.

As it does me Matt. Got a decent deal on a 2nd 7970.

Awesome clocks you are getting with your accelero - wasn't able to get anywhere near as high as that. Vrm temps were the problem approaching close to 100deg at times. Not sure if I had all the heatsinks correctly configured.

Enjoy your crossfire. If the opportunity arises, get them under water! :D

The 780 looks an incredibly good card, but i would still say overpriced at £500+, but that seems to be the nVidia premium, rightly or wrongly. I will make do with 7970 crossfire for the mext 12-18 months.

I still say a card costing around £500 or whatever it is, should have 4GB of VRAM - whoever makes it.

You can get a 7950 for £240 and get 3GB, but at twice the price+ for a 780 you still only get 3GB???

Not for me. I'm not having that as equitable, whether 4GB is required or not.
