Geforce GTX 780, 770 coming in May

I dont believe that the price of a titan has changed graphics card pricing forever as Locky pointed out. I think its more to do with the pound getting absolutely battered over the last decade against the dollar and euro. Paying £500 for a gcard now is pretty much the same as paying £400 for a X1900XT a few years back due to currency devaluation.

The pound compared to where it is now does not equal to the massive price increase since last gen and this gen, AMD set the bar of £500 quid with their 7970 and nvidia have set the bar even higher.

To be honest people can moan and whinge about the prices all day long, these things will still sell like hotcakes as they will be the fastest relatively sensibly priced cards out there for the next 6 months.

If i had the spare money this month i would get one, hopefully prices drop by the end of next month...i'll get myself two :D (Selling my 7970s basically pays for one)

I was tempted (very nearly) by the Titan, but after the benchmarks and the prices i just couldn't justify the spend.

Nope

I am very happy with mine.:)

There may be some angry GTX 780 owners out there in 2 or 3 years time when they realise that 3gbs of vram won't do it anymore.:D

Haha, spot on answer :p

Not really, by that time 6gb will probably be the norm on top end cards and both of you will of probably sold your Titans or not use them as your main cards in 3 years time.

Just me or does it run a bit hot!?

Will definitely need some decent non OEM cooling on that for some OC head room. 83 Deg C at stock does not bode well with me.

Titans are in my machine also. They can be kept under 70c (in cooler weather) with an aggressive fan profile but ideally, water cooling is the route for these GK110 chips.
