Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

I think some of the AIB partners could be in for a bit of a shock in the near future if they think they can carry on charging £1500 or more for a high end 2080 Ti.

The reason for this is once NVidia have sorted out the yield/supply problems with the 2080 Ti there is nothing stopping them bringing out a fully enabled Turing Titan using the FE cooler and selling it for £1500.

The FE cooler may not be quite as good as some of the AIB partner coolers but on a Titan it is going to be fast, very fast.

the big joke is the fact no matter what price you pay for a 2080ti be it a 1200 or 1800+ you will probably get the same overall experience the only difference is cooling as nvidias kept the power locked down so they have head room for a Titan. anyone paying a lot for a card expecting a overclocking monster is going to be in for a shock it seems.

And if you spend 700 you get he same experience as a 1080ti...

Those people deserve to be shocked... it's not like there's not an abundance of info and reviews out there confirming this. I can't fathom who would buy a GPU without doing all their research first, but I know plenty do. I've seen people with 4K monitors asking why they can't get more than 60Hz lol!:eek:

A little bit of me keeps niggling away and saying cancel and grab another 1080Ti and a PS4 with Spiderman and God of War..... Bloody waiting hurts lol

It is worth the wait.

2080 Ti is about 35% faster than 1080 Ti.

Once you have sold your old 1080 Ti, it will go a long way to help paying for the upgrade.

Besides the PS4 has an AMD chip in it, you know it is only going to make you see red.:D

Probably right Bud. Just waiting is always hard and I accepted end of September but could be mid November now and I have games that need playing (FFXV SotTR).

It’s not though...it’s 70-80% price increase for what ? A few extra FPS which in real terms one would struggle to notice.

There isn’t even an argument for DLSS and RT now due to the performance hit.

Fact is the 2080 series is a sham, and anyone worth their salt in the tech arena has already stated it’s not worth buying.

I know you’re struggling for ROH members to justify your existence here on the forums but you sound like a needy girlfriend :p

Your payments been taken as well I bet?

You need to have a word with yourself :p

And a long hard look in the mirror :p

The problem with the Titans is that you really need to run an FPS counter to see the small difference from a Ti. I chose the 1080Ti FTW3 over a Titan just for the better cooler.

You argument is totally flawed for someone with a 1080 Ti or better, if they want an upgrade the 2080 Ti is the only way to go.

Also once they have sold their old card this brings the cost of the upgrade down into the hundreds.

Why don't you just say you are not interested in the 20XX, state your reasons and leave it at that. There is no need to keep posting the same negative stuff over and over again.

I have already stated that I am not interested in the 20XX cards but with all the negativity from people like you I am warming to the idea of picking up a couple of Asus Strix 2080 Ti cards if only to make you moan even more.:D

Totally agree.

The difference this time around is NVidia could launch a Turing Titan with the FE cooler that is actually cheaper than some of the highend 2080 Ti cards.

£2k titan i bet gotta make it special with a special price. for a whole 10% extra performance probably :D

£400 more expensive than a FE 2080 Ti is my guess, that would make it £1499.00, the same price as an Asus Strix 2080 Ti.:D

NVidia are unlikely to go to 2k for a gaming Titan as people just won't pay it. I know they still sell the Titan V for £2800 but that is a pro card and in that context quite good value.
