You forgot this little gem v0n, voting record in black and white - all UKIP MEPs voted against the EU tackling tax evasion

http://www.markpack.org.uk/41203/ukip-meps-vote-against-tackling-tax-evasion/

I would hope they primarily vote for less legislation, not MORE, regardless of subject matter.

I keep seeing this argument put against UKIP. 'they don't bother to turn up to vote in the EU' 'look at Farage's appalling voting record' 'Look at how they voted on this or that piece of tedious unwelcome legislation' and it really is missing the point.

UKIP will have voted against it because they vote against all EU legislation regardless of what it is, that is their purpose after all. They don't want the EU to work.

Criminally damaging national interests aside, UKIP doesn't always vote against everything, sometimes they vote for/in favour of things.

For example, when French far right loony Marine Le Pen was being pursued by French prosecutors for incitement to hatred and discrimination after comparing Muslims praying in public places to the Nazi occupation of France, UKIP MEPs voted for Le Pen to retain her parliamentary immunity and escape prosecution.

Most of these things aren't tedious. They are important. They define our futures. So when UKIP voted in favour of scrapping Shetland Box and giving protected British fishing waters to foreign armadas - whether it was done as a "I'll always vote opposite to the rest of you" or "protest against everything EU" or "we will fifth column this **** and then tell everyone how EU screwed them" or even as a "I don't know what I'm doing, what is this button" - it's still criminal attempt to destabilise national economy.

Their behaviour is criminal then, are the people who vote for them aware that they have no intention of engaging or representing them at the EU Parliament - that is shameful if it is true.

The sad part is UKIP are happy to drain the EU teet dry for their own expenses

UKIP MEPs have a terrible attendance record. Whilst they always vote no when they do bother to turn up, they often don't vote at all.

The fact that they turned up to the tax evasion vote tells its own story.

Depends on the office it would seem. My OH works at the voting offices many times and whenever she receives a spoilt ballot it just gets torn up and thrown in a bin. No count, no record, no bother.
-

really?? that seems hugely dangerous

"what are all these torn up uncounted ballots?"

"oh just the spoiled ones.....and half the ones for the party i don't like..."

surely all the ballots should be counted then all the individual totals added up at the end to make sure it tallies.

surely the point is they protect Britain from the negative affects of the EU, they should be in every damn vote voting for the best option for Britain.

They're like the watch man appointed to guard the gates but who spends all day in the pub instead of watching the gate and then complaining about all the bad people coming through it.

Meanwhile, in Shropshire...

Some of the national polls put the Conservatives behind Labour, but they will take heart from their victory in one of the local council by-elections held yesterday. The Oswestry East ward in Shropshire was previously marginal - but saw a 17% boost in the Tory vote. Labour's vote share slipped by over ten points. (BBC)

LOL Lib Dems

Unsolicited email received from Lib Dem parliamentary candidate for Bath said:
A number of students have expressed concern to the University and the Students’ Union that they have received, via their University email account, an unsolicited email from the Lib Dem Parliamentary candidate for Bath.

An investigation led by the University Secretary has identified that the email addresses were provided to the Lib Dems by a student at the University.

The Lib Dem party in Bath have apologised for the incident to the University, to students and also to the other parties in Bath. The email addresses have been deleted from their records.

In order to enable students and staff to contact each other via email the University’s existing policy is to make University email addresses available to students and staff via person finder. This is not unusual within the Higher Education sector. Individuals’ full names and course details are not visible to those who access person finder from outside the University network.

The act of obtaining the email addresses was not in itself a breach of the University’s data protection policy. Details of the University policy and guidance on data protection and whom to contact can be found here: http://www.bath.ac.uk/data-protection/index.html

The University is consulting with the Students’ Union as to whether the policy of making University email addresses available to all students via person finder continues to be in the best interests of students.

Judging by the sub 100 IQ of BNP voters average I disagree, you have to be an idiot to vote for them.

You do post rubbish these days. I'm sure you're about 5ft tall with a inferiority complex.
I do not have proof of this. ;)

Lol as if a student would vote lib dem after the lies they told students.

most students don't even know what the parties said or did before during or after the last election.

they just know what they hear in the pub from peoples Chinese whispers

My kid and his mates, 6th form, are always moaning about their future lot as students compared to previous generations and my gf's son is always moaning about the betrayal, he's an underemployed graduate, as are many.

My youngest moans about his perceived harder lot compared to his brother's pre Gove education, as do many parents of kids still at school and most staff according to a few ta's I know.

I quite like this government tbh.

Personally I'm quite right-wing when it comes to the economy, a firm believer in the free-market. However I'm quite liberal when it comes to social issues.

Leave the door open for people to become super mega rich, but support those at the bottom of the ladder who have no hope of making it in life on their own.
