Exactly, it's extremely stupid imo to vote tactical - just vote for who you want. Normally tactical voting works better for Labour, since a lot of people will vote Anyone But Tory.

Maybe if that happened, the Torys will listen to its voters in future.
Dont listen at your peril.

You don't win an election by moving right.
That was Hague and Duncan Smiths and that creature Howard's error, you move centrally, that mean right votes right, and the centre wins it for you.

This election now we have a party with a single policy as a blip, they will suck up votes from extreme right and left accordingly. Hurting conservatives more than Labour, but both will take a swipe. You don't shift right to placate this bunch. Not over a single policy, as you lose the middle which wins elections.

What the truth hurts does it? But lets see.
You and your Mrs lived in the UK and left for a better life. Now you've used the USA for your purpose
you now hope that the UK stays in the EU so you can move around with ease.

That to me is a user. Not a person that wants to stay in the country that gave him a better life. Again we all now know your agenda.

Wrong, wrong and wrong.

We didn't live in the UK, we lived in Switzerland, and then France.
We didn't move to the US for a better life, we moved to progress careers, our lives were better back in Switzerland actually.
We have used anything in the USA, we have contributed to it.
Whether the UK remains in the EU is irrelevant to our ability to move around. I want the UK to be part of the EU because it greatly benefits by being so.

No country gave me a better life, whatever that nonsense is supposed to me.

yeah, i'm not very good at flipping burgers and stacking shelves which is what the UK immigrant demogrpahic is taking care of. My PhD is not what the UK needs right now so I might have to live somewhere else in Europe.

Ahh willy waving now are we? I have a PhD in AI, so what? Don't even use it

I'm not really wanting to speak for DP but you're talking utter drivel, as usual. You say that he left to the US for a better life?

As someone who has emigrated and so has a clue what he's speaking about, we left the UK for a different life. To experience a different way of life, a different culture, a different way of living, and a different perspective on life - something you are in dire need of. As for using a country? You're talking rubbish. As usual. We're paying taxes as DP will be doing, partaking of the system whilst contributing. How exactly is that using?

We'll return to the UK when we want too, because it's our home, the country of our birth, and where we feel most at home. And we might well do it after moving to yet a different country, culture, perspective - again something you pitifully lack.

So wrong, so narrow minded, so stupid. I'm struggling to find a more narrow minded person on this board; quite an achievement and one to be ashamed of.

edit; nm DP answered before I'd finished.

So let me get this straight, you have absolutely no links to the UK. Yet you want to dictate what the British should vote for? I think you have lost all credibility now. And i'm not even interested in a reply from you anymore as you have no ground experience in living in the UK, an entirely unique and different country to the rest of the EU

You're done, goodbye

The only thing I object to in this post is the word 'now' :D

Robgmun, it's wrong to decide on the validity of an opinion based on who puts it forward. You're currently in the Ad Hominem part of the pyramind which was posted earlier and that makes your previous post quite amusing.

What a lovely picture unfortunately i don't think i've done any of the bottom three, but please go on making yourself feel better.

And of course you get the arrogant kind who believe that anyone who deviates even slightly from their own viewpoints and policies is deluded.

Same person that can spurn anyone who supports a legitimate political party as "racist nutbags".

I don't like UKIP, but the attitude of dismissing peoples fears, opinions and questionings, is what leads to people snapping. UKIP exists because there is a growing concern as to the direction of the country. Right or wrongly focused it is something that needs to be debated, not shot down consistently by those who are happy with the status quo...

I don't believe that is the case, loony left mouthbreathers chanting yookippers iz raycis isn't shooting down anything successfully and has absolutely zero effect on voting intentions for 99.9% of people, just enjoy those sweet lefty tears :D

No it's not, and you don't understand the ad-hominem fallacy if you think that's what it means.

Ad-hominem is when you attack someone's character, you can point out known facts if they question the credibility of the person you are debating.

For example, if a 15 year old who's in the bottom set for Science tried to lecture a Climate Scientist on Global warming, the latter would not be committing an ad-hominem fallacy if they question the person's position based on an apparent lack of knowledge on the subject.

Wrong, I am British and have lived in Britain most of my life and I want to see Britain remain Great.

Yet you want to dictate what the British should vote for?
Wrong, I don't want to dictate anything, I want fellow British voters like myself to form opinions based on facts, not prejudice.

I think you have lost all credibility now. And i'm not even interested in a reply from you anymore as you have no ground experience in living in the UK, an entirely unique and different country to the rest of the EU

Good, because you have never had any credibility and have failed at the second bottom level of the debating pyramid, well done, that is one more than Deuse.

Just a note but the 'Great' in 'Great Britain' refers to size, not quality.

Ireland was known as 'Little Britain' and in relation our Isles known as 'Great Britain' as a result.

Learn something new everyday.

I always picture the debate pyramid when dealing with these types. Castiel is probably the only poster here who gets close to the top of the pyramid, but the constant name calling from the bottom rung must be wearisome even for him.

LOL, Castiel's Modus Operandi is to attack the person's character/intelligence. He spent nearly 2 pages calling someone a troll in another thread purely because he disagreed with his position.
