http://ukipdaily.com/nigel-farage-speech-in-grimsby-tony-blair-can-go-to-hell/

Farage dropping more truth bombs in Grimsby. Dammit, I'm putting a UKIP sticker in my front window after that speech.

Summary:

- Grimsby town hall like Grimsby - once great, now a bit down on its heels;
- Tony Blair's intervention in politics saying we shouldn't have referendum, points out Tony Blair makes millions from mega-corps that are intwined with EU;
- Fishing, bemoans loss of cod war and subsequent giveaway of UK exclusive fishing zones, Norway and Iceland both enjoy 200 mile exclusive fishing zones around their nations, have prosperous fishing industry as a result;
- Crazy that Cameron's declared greatest achievement is that we give more money in foreign aid to other countries, Milliband complimented Cameron on this achievement;
- Defence spending needs to be increased;
- Do more to help veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan, set up hostels so no need to sleep rough, one in ten rough sleepers have served in HM armed forces;
- End the Barnett formula, or as Nige called it to Nicola Sturgeon's horror - 'shovelling money over Hadian's Wall', because it's not fair;
- UKIP are only party not run by career politicians with political correctness oozing through their veins;
- How refreshing was it that two UKIP MPs called by-elections following defection to acknowledge "the people are the boss";
- Tony Blair can go to hell.

So under UKIP we will go ahead and destroy what remaining fish stocks remain in the North Sea? Another reason to not vote for them. Short sighted populist nonsene.

No, but we will have a 200 mile exclusive fishing zone, like Norway enjoys. I'll wager that overfishing in British waters wasn't really a problem until we opened them up to the huge Spanish and Dutch trawling fleets.

Absolutely this, the UK wasn't over-fishing, this has been a much more recent problem and now fish prices are extortionist as a result

So if Nigel is so concerned why didn't he do anything for the three YEARS he was a member of the European Fisheries committee? He only bothered to attend one meeting in three years. It's amazing that people think that UKIP cares about anything besides themselves. They are the Tories on steroids full of ex Tories and bankrolled by ex Tory donors as well.

This! If farage cared he'd have actually turned up as an MEP but he did nothing as an MEP other than take the free money to bank roll his lifestyle

As has been said before, you expect a anti-EU party to take part in the EU process? Are you for real? That's not what they have been voted in there for

Just passed by a UKIP action day here. Stopped to have a chat with with their local candidate, really nice guy.

Gotta admit it, UKIP works for me what they were saying.

So, I'll be voting UKIP, and BTW looks like lots of Labour voters in that area will be too.

Easy way out.
They claimed all their expenses for personal gain, didn't donate anything to a cause, kept it all for themselves.

No, UKIP MEPs have all used the EU funds to finance UKIP activities in the UK - i.e. to support our withdrawal from the UK.

You might not agree with this, however UKIP have been upfront and people have elected them on the basis of it.

Shows how ****ed up our system is that this is a thing :p :(

Can someone explain to be what pension benefits a migrant worker is entitled to? If they remain in this country, and if they leave the country after working and paying national insurance for a period of 5 10 20 30 years?
Is the next generation going to have to pay pensions and winter furl payments to millions living abroad?

I think you need to spend at least half the year in the UK to keep getting it. My mother is American, got a visa many years ago through marriage, and later naturalised from being here long enough. She intends to spend 183 days a year here and 182 in Spain when retired :D (or as close as possible)

Problem with UKIP (or not the problem as the case may be) is that Farage is the ONLY politician at the moment who answers questions directly, without the faff and the bumbling around that everyone else does while utterly failing to give an answer.

That is a powerful weapon when the whole country is so disengaged from politics and tired of the BS.

I did it last election as the Greens didn't stand a candidate in my ward, so I swapped and someone voted Green for me in Brighton and I voted Labour here.
