I think he's made a mistake to say the previous Labour government didn't overspend.

Without that I'd say it was a decent showing.

Problem is that people have bought the Tory rhetoric on this hook line and sinker - they should have challenged this narrative more robustly earlier.

Think Ed was very impressive just then on the SNP.
