Yeh, it's a bit of a difficult question to answer. I think he did okay with it as there wasn't really a proper answer.

Don't know about this tact of saying the Labour government didn't overspend though.

I reckon the name thing works in the studio as you are face to face and it is personal, but comes across badly on TV.

Without that I'd say it was a decent showing.

Problem is that people have bought the Tory rhetoric on this hook line and sinker - they should have challenged this narrative more robustly earlier.

Think Ed was very impressive just then on the SNP.
