German Grand Prix 2010, Hockenheimring Circuit - Race 11/19

True, but not quick enough to seriously challenge for pole and/or the race win. This is quick on a different level, RBR have been so dominant in qualifying and I'm very surprised Alonso's this quick :)

I think Ferrari have the whole package now. They brought the blown diffuser for Valencia and have had 2 races to get it working. They now look like being on par with RBR and with the Ferrari resources they should stay there or better it.

McLaren are 1-2 races behind, so maybe Hungary or Spa before we see where they trully are.

End of the season should be good

According to those figures, Mercedes GP have the 2nd highest budget in F1 (after Ferrari).

I was under the impression that Mercedes were being very tight with money...I guess not.

And if those figures are to be believed, McLaren and RedBull have parity, when it comes to spending power.

Yeah 2010 figures like they know them accurately. There have been lots of articles on how selling mclaren and buying brawn has saved mercedes money and pulling out. A shrewd way in the current climate to save money by just spending what they get back from selling shares in Mclaren.

Again as I've said before money isn't everything, half the workforce that made the Brawn so good are now long gone.

Vettel, by a whisker.

Anyway, we are seeing now that Ferrari are "almost there". I believe this is the closest anybody has come to actually beating a RBR car in qualifying, on the same tyres.

Lets just wait and see tomorrow, how Vettel handles Alonso.

Oh dear McLaren are going backwards :(

Ever since they decided to go back to their old car in Silverstone, this was always going to happen. Had it not been the British GP, my belief is that they would've soldiered on using the new car, would've gained much data about the new car and would've been more competitive here.

Of note, is that Button has managed to outqualify his team-mate, on a dry track.

Unless RBR lay down the riot act to Webber, I can see both RBR drivers continuing to take points off of eachother and losing the title this year, in what is the class of the field.

Leggard was in full swing today as usual.

MARK WEBBER WHERE IS MARK WEBBER? MARK WEBBER IS SLOW SOMEWHERE ON TRACK MARK WEBBER.

Everyone on here does except me. I like to be different :p

At the start of the season there were a lot of Vettel fans on this board.

Unfortunately, RBR's antics have resulted in many F1 fans believing that the preferential treatment Vettel is getting, is all down to him.

It is important to note that Vettel has done little wrong - his team are giving him preferential treatment and Vettel should not be blamed for that.

BTW. What has happened CSI NUTS? I would've thought that the gagging order would've been relaxed by now.
