German Grand Prix 2012, Hockenheim - Race 10/20

harsh decision against Vettel, they should have swopped positions because Button was 6 seconds behind him at the end of the race and was obviously loosing pace.

Not much of a punishment then. To stop them do it you have to give someone a penalty that'll make people think.

Off-topic:

Was there reason for his [Casey Stoner's] retirement in the end?

AFAIK it's because he wants to be closer to his family and take up V8 Supercars in Australia (which by virtue allows him to be closer to his wife and child). He's also been quoted as saying he doesn't enjoy the sport any more and lacks the passion he once had.

It was essentially a drive through, nothing harsh about that.

Is this a case of Seb being pushed beyond his ability's? Not the first time we've seen him call someone an idiot either.

Sad thing is, if Vettel gave the position back Im almost certain he would've had another opportunity to overtake him properly.

Actually thats not a sad thing :D

On another note, could anyone explain exactly how RBR's Engine Map schenanigans are "questionable" ? What is it that specifically gives them an advantage?

Hamilton congratulated alonso over twitter after the race. First time I've seen him do that.

Could he be getting friendly with alonso for a move next season?

Vettel got what he deserved with that penalty. It is about time the whole Red Bull team were brought into line imo. Alonso and Ferrari at the moment seem to be doing just fine without all of this funny business.

I thought it was the return of the blown engine gasses even when the car is at lower rev's but I'm seeing everyone on twitter go on about some pseudo traction control, unless I'm being thick late at night and its one and the same.

A very entertaining race. Can't believe Lewis got a damn puncture when Msc clean ran over what can only be described as a pointy puncture giver with his front right and didn't lose a single psi!

Judging from Jensen's performance some serious points were on the cards, but a complete lap with that tyre it's not surprising he thought his race was over early. Then the team pretty much maximised his usefulness as the disrupter. Brilliantly entertaining that was, and something I have discussed with others before, so great to see it actually unfold!

Great drives by Alonso and Jensen. Can't see Alonso relinquishing that title lead easily, we're going to need DNFs. He's had a damn good season, pulling that car to places it shouldn't and now reaping the rewards of a greatly improved motor.

Despite the weather here today it looks like there's a storm over Horner's house...

lol that was my favorite bit of the race. Seeing Hamilton un lap himself by overtaking Vettel and then seeing him wave his hands in fury. He did his bit to help Jenson which was very commendable. :D
