German Grand Prix 2013, Nürburgring - Race 9/19

If anyone honestly thinks a team would sabotage their own driver and put him in any danger they need their heads examined.

Forget the driver, the suggestion that a team would deliberately launch a wheel at 100kmh down a pitlane full of people is retarded enough in itself.

Everyone is so hung up on conspiracy BS they come out with some right garbage.

Whilst you are right, I didn't read anyone suggesting that?

People are just suggesting that Webbers stop was engineered to take a little longer than Sebs, otherwise he had the undercut and would take the lead causing a difficult situation again for Redbulls drivers championship - but it went horribly wrong with Webber driving off too early.

Yes it's silly, but it's not totally unreasonable an F1 team could organise other means to benefit one driver - without having to go down the troubled road of team orders or obvious bias as the public hate that sort of thing. Still difficult to organise, as it depends on anyone in the know never revealing the truth and that is a massive risk in itself. Easiest way is to have a dodgy wheel gun for Webber.

Just uncanny how often Webber has so much bad luck, most of it nothing to do with running in traffic although some of it is. This year alone he has had:

Multi 21 and getting screwed by teammate, Underfueled in Q3 in China, KERS failures, Wheel falling off in China, Slow starts AGAIN at a couple of races, Slow pitstop with wheel flying off in Germany, Penalty for incident with Verne ... probably missed a few!!! Very unlucky guy.

Just been reading through this thread. Not sure why everyone gave you a hard time for this comment. It was hilarious. I had to rewind it several times. :D Shame we didn't get to see a replay from his perspective.

So if that was your Dad it would be hilarious? Would you like me laughing at the TV if that was your Dad?

No, didn't think so you utter ****

I suspected you to be a giggly 14 year old, but then I saw you were 24. You live with mum still don't you?

Why can MW restart after losing a wheel? And what sort of rule awards him one free lap under the safety car. He should have come last.

Andi.

I think it is because he didn't make it out of the pitlane, so they were able to wheel him back and stick new tyres on.

With rregards to the safety car rules yea it's a bit silly, but those are the rules and it'd be the same for everyone. Hopefully they will revisit that particular rule.

Anyone who thinks it's funny to see an unsuspecting man hit with a flying lump of metal and rubber at high speed obviously has an array of mental development issues.

I'm sure he wouldn't be laughing if it was his collar bone and ribs that were broken!

Not to mention the fact that it could have been MUCH worse.

That's why we all jumped on lucarocks. At the time, for all we knew, he could have been killed.

I was pleased to hear the cameraman escaped with his life. The moment it happened was truly sickening.

Good race, would loved Kimi to have two or three more laps.

Vettel will win it all, I look forward to the day his car isn't top dog. I'm accepting this fact so I don't feel the need to rage at my TV for the next 10 races. Only the miracles of the compound changes in Hungary can tilt this title race in someone else's favour and I don't see that happening now. That Mercedes car flatters to deceive at almost every race. Hamilton's two opportunities to grab race wins have been taken by Rosberg. He's out of the title race and so is 51% of the reason to watch F1 for me. I'll be cheering on Raikkonen to pull off a miracle if Hamilton can't as he's the other 49%
