It’s odd though. It happened 14 or so laps before the end and not once did an investigation message come up in that time. Plus it’s one of those things where he broke a rule or he didn’t isn’t it?? (And there is footage and audio) Unless they were waiting to talk to him about it? But what difference would that make??

Yup. Seb is good but he doesn't deserve to be ranked with F1's greats.

F1 is such that it's more about being in the right place at the right time (best car) and being assigned as the number one driver. Hamilton is undoubtedly a great all-round racer, Vettel is good at driving fast on a dry empty track. Alonso despite driving dog cars for about 10 years is also extremely talented. I think Alonso's problem is that he isn't driven by success/trophies and is happy to exercise his talent in cars that won't win him races, it's a bit of a shame really but also a reflection on how flawed F1 is as a driver championship.

It's not a jab at team orders, I'm simply replying to your comment that he went for #1 on the track and was told to back off, maybe he would have accepted it under those circumstances.
