Gerrard Arrested?

I heard that his defence are claiming that it was self defence as the DJ hit him in the face and knocked him flat out to start with but when Gerrard was questioned on the lack of facial injuries he said that although the DJ swang for him he didn't actually make any contact but he still went sprawling down on the dancefloor as the intent was there and he was making the most of the challenge.

Haha! :D

The Times have said that he asked the DJ for his card or something?

I'd slap his missus arse about too :p

I had to be told who she was when a mate and I saw her in real life. Don't normally go for conventionally attractive women but aww she's hot.

Who says that that big trouser meat, big wallet, or pretty boy aren't things that women want in a man! :p

although i'd like to say Gerrard was a bystander i know he wasn't, as usual the media has made more of this but sensationalism sells papers.

im dissapointed in his actions but none the less he's still the best footballer (bar Messi) on the planet :D

Well when barton was charged with assault therewas outrage and people saying he should never kick a football again.

Funny how people arent saying the same about gerrard eh? Assault is assault imo regardless of who carried it out.

Exactly.

Fresh from firing two goals against us on Sunday, Steven Gerrard was involved in a nightclub fracas that has seen the England midfielder charged with ABH.

It is almost the anniversary of fellow Scouser, Joey Barton's Merseyside brawl that saw him spend three months at Her Majesty's pleasure.

Should the Liverpool captain be convicted, it will be interesting to see how many of those calling for Newcastle to sack Barton will be equally vociferous in wanting Gerrard to be shown the door by the league leaders, ditched from the England set-up or even stripped of his MBE.

Watch this space for double standards galore....

Obviously he hasn't even been found guilty yet, but it will be very fun to see the outcome if he is.

Consistant ABH compared to a first offense surely is an important factor?

Bartons knocked the **** out of a fella who was lying on the floor. Gerrard seems to have elbowed this bloke in self defence.

Past offences are taken into account when sentencing, yeah. But if Gerrard is found guilty it doesn't matter what his sentence is he has still committed ABH, the same offence as Barton.

As for what exactly happened I'd wait for the trial, I've read numerous case reports to know the papers talk bull****.

Why are NUFC.com sticking their nose in, because he showed them how to play football?

Probably stick of double standards, as they say.

It's got nothing to do with bitterness, just sick of sycophantic press having favourite players.

Rubbish like this basically:

"Everything about him exudes honesty and courtesy and, of course, a fierce will to win."

That'll be how he cons so many referees then, by exuding honesty.

By the way cheets it's a nice ad hominem argument. ;)

I work in Formby where he lives and when I met him one day he was nothing like that.. Seemed a bit of a stuck up little **** to be honest. Have spoken to other footballers and they are nowhere near as up themselves as he was.

Maybe you'd just put to much salt on his fries :p
