Getting sick of Firefox as of recent! Has it been that bad for you?

My FF developed strange issues with opening javascript popup windows lately. "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or continue to see if the script will complete " message all the time.
Console full of errors, size this, wrong size that - who cares, it's just pop up windows. As usual with Netscape related products - they give you something awesome just to completely screw it up few revisions later...

Let Firefox do it then - it's done session saving since 2.0.

Only if FF crashes or is closed during a shutdown. If I close FF myself and tell it to close the tabs FF doesn't save them.

Rather annoying sometimes.

EDIT: Built-in spell checker never seems to work either!

No, it does session saving all the time.

You need to tell it to save the session too. Tools -> Options -> Main -> When $app starts -> Show my windows and tabs from last time.

EDIT: Built-in spell checker never seems to work either!

Got a dictionary installed?

considering IE7 copied pretty much every feature of firefox way after firefoxes release, i'm going to stick with the web brower masters mozilla.
just goes to show that some open source programs are capable of overtaking the almighty microsoft :D

While I'm here, beware that IETab causes Fx to leak, on both the 2.0.0.x branch and trunk (AKA Minefield, which forms the Gran Paradiso releases) - bug #324793.

See this here blog post for what extensions have been tested.

Also in FF you can make gmail look super clean :p

Must be seeing things. It is early after all. ;)

We've all been there done that ;)

Right now with 2 tabs open and after using FireFTP (twice...¬_¬) Firefox.exe is using 113MB. Now some might instantly jump up and cry "113MB???????????ONEELEVENTYTWELVE???" but I say 113MB is nothing, even on Vista as I still have almost 1GB free and Vista is quite efficient to memory management over XP so not really noticed any performance problems due to memory usage by FF at all!
