Whats the onboard audio like and do you still use a soundcard or just use onboard? I have a asus dg soundcard in old pc i might be able to move to new pc but not sure it would work in win 11 and theres not much soundcard choice these days unlike old days, either few asus cards which i dunno is worth it with my bad hearing picking out certain sounds or should i just use onboard audio, would save money too. I just play few games not a lot but mostly just stream twitch or watch films and tv shows and anime.

Some nice updates coming through now. I can see me having this board for some time. Eventually an X3D CPU and much faster DDR5 at some point should give a nice performance upgrade in a couple of years time.

Yeah.

And after i bought my board after eventually setting the pc up, when i booted it i flashed it to that 7a i think i said then installed win 11, then it was perfectly fine, i never experienced any memory training stuff and it as soon as gb logo dissapears its instantly in win 11 tho that could be the m2 wd black 770 drive working its magic but i was ready to expect a few mins till boot but never been anything but instant for me so far.

Sounds like a very similar experience to me. Great setup for the money. The 7600 seems fine for now for gaming, I'll drop in an 8800X3D in the future when they've had a price drop. Should just need the odd GPU upgrade.

I've been tempted by the SN850X price drops but in reality I'd never notice the difference. The SN770 is still a very responsive drive.

Yeah, just a shame m2 drives would require so much to install i.e take the heatsink off the m2 bays and probs gpu removal if its "that m2 slot" etc. But its nice no need to plug cables in em just a slot and there nice and fast things. And lookin on hotukdeals im seeing prices go down for em all the time, i mean my drive was about 60 when i bought it now i think i saw it down to 45 once and some weird brands ive seen 2tb ones go for like 60 quid. Its nuts m2 drive prices lately.

I just wish i researched the samsung ssd 870 1tb i bought for the new pc cos few years ago they were big numbers i think of em failing, but im hoping by now there all fixed and i checked the make date on it when i got it and was this year so not old stock thankfully but yeah hope that extra ssd i got as a storage drive for meh stuff lasts ok, the other 2 m2 drives are for os and or games mainly.

Anyone controlling RGB with this? I have 3 Corsair fans and commander pro+RGB hub. 3 Arctic P12 RGB fans, Kingston Fury Beast RGB RAM and an Arctic Freezer 360 RGB AIO. I don't seem to be able to do anything with the Arctic fans. Neither the Gigabyte or Open RGB seems to support Arctic products. Any ideas?

Decided to put a third m.2 in for photo storage. Moving an SN770 to be repurposed for that and got an SN850X for a game drive. Not expecting to see any difference!
