would it be wise with the g.skill pc6400 hz on a f1 bios to put a few more volts thru it so that it would be getting the correct voltage it requires?

I've got that RAM and it just worked straight out of the box on my DQ6 with F2 bios with no settings adjusted. Hope it goes well.

Hi All
The story far
It starts at the beginning of august.
I brought a GA-965p-dq6 and corsair ddr2 twina 2 GB pc6400 and I have just built it into my machine with an Intel core2 duo e6400. It will not go to post keep stop/starting.

I e-mailed gigabyte with this problem and they advised me to use memory listed on the gigabyte website. I have sent back the corsair ddr2 twinx pc6500c5 and brought some Geil (gx22gb5300dc)x2 but even with this approved memory the computer still takes between 4 and 20 tries before it will post. Once it’s running it’s OK.
as I have seen on a lot of you guys on oc forums with ds3/4s are having the same problem. I have updated the bios with f3c from a link on this forum but it made no difference I like gigabyte and would like to keep it but not if it dos not work..

I have now sent back the Geil (gx22gb5300dc) x2 and I have Geil PC6400 800Hz ultra low latency (GX22GB6400UDC) because someone here said there’s worked but mine dos not.
I have tried this mobo on the bench with just a CPU Memory and Graphics card
With different PSU and or Graphics card.

RMAed the mobo yesterday I got an e-mail today No Fault found so it cost me £18.50 to send it back and £23 No Fault fee and still no working computer.

This mobo is a nightmare

IMO, if the mobo wasn't tested with the items you are trying to run then they cannot really prove that it works, I have had the same response from the tech dept just saying it works, but hen I asked them what they tested it with they couldn't tell me!

Just built my machine around the e6400 and Geil PC6400 Ultra RAM. It all works great but as soon as I try to enter the RAM timings manually into the BIOs the PC wont boot. I change it back to auto and it then boots fine. Running the F3 BIOS as well.

Back on thread; My parts have just arived today. I assembled everything, put the mobo in the case, connecting stuff blablabha. Booted with 1 stick in, 1hdd, all power cables in. Booted fine for the first time. Shutdown, Put the rest into it.
'till now its in my opinion a great board! I'll make a thread about it later. Its formatting my hdds now.
