Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z87

i have used f2b bios and the f1 it comes with and it does it when you start the system sometimes or on restarting the system, and when its goes it often takes a ten minute unplug from the power for it to come back.
I have seen a lot of people with the same on baord audio chip having exactly the same issues. Tried a lot of things to rectify and only good thing was to disable the on board audio and buy an asus xonar dgx which i did and so far its been a lot more stable.

It is very intermittent.

Shouldn't your sig read faultyish at times? lol
I'm still pleased with mine, think it will take a couple of bias's to sort out some of the problems though. Not that I really have any, other than freezing in the bios now and again.

My Replacement G1 Sniper z87 is getting delivered tomorrow, fingers crossed this ones not hosed like the previous one lol. Will get my 4770k into it and do a new fresh install of windows etc

Atomic have you thought about RMA'ing yours if its faulty?

;) I have tried yes, succeeded no.

12th december i first reported a problem with the on board audio and after being advised to contact gigabyte tech support and then they advising me to rma it im still with the same board and no rma.

Very unhappy with the way in which i have been treated and hence bought my other 2 monitors and some fans a few days ago else where, shame really as its not the first time i been let down.

Have you asked them in the CS section to RMA it? I've always found them to be very helpful, after all if gigabyte has said to RMA it, then surely thats what should be done?

im still waiting for an rma to be created but gigabyte them selves have said that if the e-tailer does not provide rma then they will do it directly as of tomorrow.

and yes i been talking in the technical support area since 12th december :(

ive disabled the onboard audio and purchased an asus xonar dgx, this has helped my stability.

Not uncommon for popular hardware to have a few issues, this is an extremely popular product, many people have it with no issues at all. I say buy it, if it doesnt work, RMA it, Gigabyte have UK RMA and OCUK CS is unbeatable.
