**Gigabyte Super OC GTX 480's - VERY LOW PRICES!**

I have no artifacts in anything but get 300 errors after a minute in OCCt, so cant be bothered with it any more, everything else runs fine from heaven 2.5 to Crysis, Just Cause 2 and dirt 2. this is at 820Mhz.

pufff OCCt.

At the end of the day the card has a 3 year warranty and if some game in the future gets arti's then I will use the RMA to Gigabyte.

you might not be able to as GB do it from the date of manufacture. You may have to do it via OcUK
 
LOL, thought I'd do some experimenting, so I've just run OCCT with an overclock I've been using on and off for the last year+ (800MHz on the core and a fairly low oc of 1900 on the mem) and got errors within a minute.

Bear in mind this card has been running all the graphically demanding titles (metro, crysis et al), and also Nvidia 3D vision with this overclock having no issues whatsoever.

Seriously chaps this out of date OCCT sucks balls, go and play your games, you'll soon know when the video cards being pushed to hard ;)

Yeah I've just looked on OCCT website, no update since May 2009, it might be the software thats at fault i.e. bugged or can't handle new graphics hardware configurations?

I've never tested any of my graphics card with it whether it's ATI or Nvidia, like coupe69, if games crash then you know something is really wrong.

How about Kombuster? that people get along with MSI Afterburner?

Also Heaven DX11 Benchmark 2.5 is good for finding problems especially with overclocks, did a lot of testing on my 6950, when pushing it too far the screen just freezes.

Too much paranoia going around, forget OCCT.
 
OCCT 4 is out and is a beta version and works great

I got errors till i upped me v's to 1050 from 1025 then no errors at all

had errors with my sparkle 480 to till i upped the v's to 1110 then no errors at all

so OCCT isnt just erroring because of "out of date" programing , it was erroring because the cards were not stable IMO

Also just to say heaven i get tearing in places. not a lot at all but some.
 
I think last few days have been unkind to high end PCs/GPUs - I just ran JC2 benchmarks - and got more realistic mid 70s under load - 1900 with 16xQFSAA

which is not too shabby at all
