looked in pristine condition, like it was straight out of the factory floor. also, the serial number kinda gave it away

I actually just got round to testing the replacement SOC card OCUK sent me with my new Corsair TX850 V2 and the results are exactly the same as with the OCZ Modxstream 600W. I get errors in OCCT at the 78-80 degrees mark at the default voltage of 1.088V. At this voltage it is impossible to keep the card below that temp even with 100% fan speed and a 12CM side fan...

is this the card with the odd 1.088V on the SOC bios, and a different voltage on the LN bios ?

1.088 sounds rather high thats why I ask

have you tried lowering it with new PSU ? see if you get less errors due to less heat ?

hehe - thas bizarre - identical to my 480 !! - same week and year lol !

re full box - very nice - I got my 480 SOC (the same card) back in what I gues they use for their refurbs, white plain one but iwth same padding etc as normal box

re postage - agreed - and if you're sending back to Gigabyte you only need to send (well packaged of course) the bare card

so cost me £6.70 or something I seem to remember SD insured to £500

oh, that's my trusty 8800 GTX.
Will stick it back in when I get a waterblock for it and liquid cool. Do you think Gigabyte would notice if I liquid cooled this card?(the 580 - not the 8800!)
