Girl vs. Football (Specific dilemma, help me out!)

It still amazes me how much some people need to lie instead of just straight out saying what they want.
If you want to see her on Friday night, then go over then head back home when she goes to work. If she finishes at 2, surely it will take her time to get home and she'll want to get changed/cleaned up etc before doing anything anyway. That should give you enough time to watch the game before going back to see her after it's finished.

To quote American Pie:

Why dont you go and grow some b*lls and a **** and learn to use them!

Dont do whatever she says man, its time to grow up and do what you want. Just watch the footie and tell her your gonna be late.

No use another woman because if she was there the footy wouldnt be the only place that had some scoring going on! shes hawt! :D

Can't believe some of the absolutely guff advice being handed out in this thread.

I completely agree with BrenOS and Gilly. You watch the football, she's at work for most of it anyway for God's sake. If she's a decent lass she won't mind and won't grief you.

For anybody that thinks if you don't want to see your GF instead of watch a big game then you might as well dump her I hope you NEVER want to do anything more than see your GF. Be it WC final, going to see a gig, catching up with old mates, seeing a long lost relative etc etc, cos if you do you might as well dump her.

On a side note Rich_L's idea is very easy to implement and should be if your GF scares you and you're worried she'll tell you off for doing what you want with your own time.

tbh i love footy so it's not a problem as I said for us.

However, should Mr K_C want to go and do something without me - it's not an issue :) I have a life of my own, and should he want to go somewhere that I don't, then off he goes - he'd just tell me he was going, and that's that :)

1. Go to missus' on Friday night
2. Say you're going into town to have a wander round on Saturday morning - actually do so and pick up a nice lil pressie for the missus.
3. Watch footy in pub.
4. Tell her you're watching the footy in the pub and for her to meet you, but you have a surprise for her.
5. She meets you in pub - and you give her the pressie and watch the end of the game.
6. Rag the hell out of her to your hearts content.

seems the best bet, football is very important and must be watched at least once a week or you manliness goes, along with having one man drink a week, and performing the act of DIY, and nut scratching.

Seriously though tell her how important it is, try and compare it to the season finale of Sex and the City, she might understand

So she wants you to spend the morning with her mother instead of watching the game. There can only be one solution and that is to dump her.

Out of this entire thread the only decent response was Rich_L's!

I mean, I expect him to respond decently but the rest of you have let yourselves, the forums and the whole male population down :(

LOL arrogant so and so arent you?? :p...not everyone or every guy enjoys footie. Personally i dont care much for it although i have been watching Arsenal in their european cup campaign.

But if i was in the OP's position, id forget about the footie and make some lovely samba with my lass tbqh.

dont think the girls boss would like that, seeing as she is at work for the most part anyway?

take her mum out for a drink!

This thread makes me sad, I didn't realise quite so many men were under the thumb in relationships. We need to set up some sort of crisis centre for them so we can try to help them restore their lost manliness and regain control of their lives.
