I have already posted my thoughts in this thread. It wasn't meant to be entirely serious, but I have been accused of having quite a dry sense of humour.

It's always great to see a Mumsnet thread on the OcUK forum.
Glad it seems to be working out for the time being and hope it stays that way, but the GF does sound controlling. I.e. she telling you to go back to your mum's house otherwise the she will leave.
A few responses in this thread said about you spending a lot of time with your mum and the GF getting twitchy about that due to losing her own mum. It might be you need to balance between your mum and your GF time more to your GF. I am one for sure who don't like to spend too much time with my parents, especially with the mum because she asks me so many questions that it feels like I'm being interviewed by the police. The less said about that, the better
