GJ anti-vaxxers?!

And this is why those who push the anti vax movement shouldn't be allowed kids, or to make any decisions which effects more than there own little bubble. Just because they live in this Oh we don't need it bubble doesn't mean it can't damage the system as a whole

The vaccine issue is a prime example of the stupidity of believing that everyone is entitled to an opinion and that must be respected.

Opinions are not equal if they contradict facts.

Correct, that is also the issue with free speech.

These idiots are allowed to congregate on social media and spread their stupidity....

Turning it into a crime, sets a bad precedent for the future.

We must explore other ways to get people to vaccinate their kids.

They're literally helping kill people with their inaction over misinformation and silly dogma, their kids don't ******* deserve polio or measles while they walk around entirely immune.

Total removal of state intervention in their lives should be on the table (no benefits, no state education, no access to state medical care, nothing), they can keep their citizenship (as it's illegal to make someone stateless), but they are for all intents and purposes abandoned until they wise up.

It would appear to be an evolution of "dumb and wealthy", to "dumb, wealthy and dying".

Well RIP Europe. It will take its time but when herd immunity is low enough all hell will be let loose, may take 1-2 generations but it will happen.

At which point a few hundred dead kids and everybody will be lining up for emergancy vaccinations and we reset the cycle

Kids shouldn't have to suffer because mom&dad are morons though.
If your parents are morons you will suffer, in many different ways; chances are you'll never achieve your full potential.

The start you get in life is crucial, and moron parents unfortunately are much more likely to raise moron offspring :(

Kids should be vaccinated regardless of what parents want. If the parents shun vaccines then maybe a good dose of TB will change their mind.
Anyone who thinks like you should not be allowed to have kids. Whether I agree with vaccines or not, I decide what's right for my kids, not a government or a company who's only interest is to make money.
And what the hell has anti vaxxers got to do with the opening content in this thread? What a stupid title.

In this country you really don't. Stray outside of established norms and watch your kids get taken away at the drop of a hat (see this a lot down here with, erm, "alternative lifestyle" parents).

Your kids are effectively society's kids. The law, the govt absolutely does give itself a role to play in deciding how your kids are treated, raised, educated, etc.

Surely anyone who thinks like you shouldn't have kids.

As it's people with that mind set that abuse thier kids.

As thier kids are they're property so it's up to them if they don't want to educate them, feed them, want to beat them or sell them etc?

People who "decide what's right for thier kids" are the reason we have child protection services and laws regarding children

Agree. Most parents are good, some are very bad. I'm glad to live in a country where we realise that the best interest of children doesn't always align with parents desires. Saying parents always know best is a ridiculously idealised viewpoint and is asking for trouble in some cases.

Don't worry the BBC are now onto the anti-vaxxer hype.

Louise just asked this women while discussing an increase in measles ...

"What would you say to people who have any concerns about vaccines?"

Not like she meant general concerns about MMR in particular, but general concerns about all and any vaccines!
