Glastonbury & the BBC.

That’s exactly my point. Glasto has increasingly catered towards older people in recent years.

I think theres a good mix personally. I dont care for the "older" acts at all personally. Will watch Foals on catchup though after Eilish.

I don’t get Billy Eilish, its like shes talking to some backing music, whys she so popular?
That's unfair. She's clearly singing now for eg. Her and her brother make really good pop tracks basically. Their popularity has just sky rocketed in the last couple of years. Her last album which they made in her bedroom is brilliant.

Yeah I don’t mind it, it’s a very good mix this year so far.
Festivals in general are changing slowly. Glastonbury is still holding on to their legends and that's fine but a 20 year old headlining? I mean its the correct slot for her but thats unheard of at Glasto. Leeds / Reading always used to be a rock exclusive festival but its more rock/pop now. Just moving with the times innit.

Reading as a teenager was chaos haha. Everything got set on fire.

I think these big events are all a lot tamer now. Stricter licencing, h&s etc. Just the modern world innit.

Coverage is really good on iPlayer and being able to watch live multiple stages is very good. I've previously only know Glastonbury coverage to be a day or two late on a repeat and hosted by the the BBC's same old annoying faces, talking for no real reason. Lauren Laverne... Jo whiley...

I rewatched Crowded House's performance earlier tonight, I'm not a massive fan, don't dream it's over is a not bad track for me. But the song they performed after had a child (the child / grandson of guitar and front man) dancing and then the mic was handed to the kid. The media says the kid stole the show. I say I'd be pretty upset hearing him squeal over the mic after going to all the trouble of being there. If I was a fan, I'd be annoyed.

I stopped going to Festivals about 10 years ago when I noticed the changes happening.
I used to go to Reading/Leeds (Leeds is better) and Latitude.

I already said how good Confidence man was a few pages back ,also watched Idles and Sleaford mods ,definitely not my normal music but i guess this is the point ,especially if they have that energy ,Sam Fender also but i was in red wine mode by then ,enjoyed the atmosphere

I prefer it when it ****** it down and everyone looks cold, miserable and wet.

Can't watch it on TV due that sanctimonious cow Jo Whiley voice or face enters my ear drums as it upsets me for months.

If some gave me a free ticket I would burn it and send the ashes to some millennial who was desperate to go and couldn't get a ticket.

:)
