GOG , Good Old Games - Official Thread

TA is like Supreme commander on roids with worse graphics. Miles better gameplay though. There were so many different unit/structure types and I was only at tier 1

Can't go back to TA personally, far too much babysitting required and not being able to adjust orders on the fly without cancelling is annoying. Plus, Hawks\Vamps are so imbalanced it isn't funny.

Anyone got anything in the deals this weekend?

I just bought Icewind Dale 1 and 2 and Planescape Torment for $20.

Also bumping so that no one misses the deals which are for this weekend;)

I really don't like this new thing they have where you have to buy all the games on offer to get the advertised discount.

I would have bought IWD complete at 60% off, but I'd need to buy 8 other games I might not even want.

Oh well, guess I'll be missing out on GoG sales, then. Shame, they've been decent up to now, but they seem to be using this new system more and more.

Tempting, but I'm not really interested in all of them...the discount gets progressively worse :(

Indeed, the less games you get, the worse the offer appears, but you can't argue with IWD 1 and 2 and Planescape for £13.

The strength of the deal depends entirely on what you already have i suppose. If i didn't already have the BG games and Neverwinter Nights, the whole lot would be a great deal.

Well right now I'm only wanting BG2 and Torment...

I noticed it was download and not sale I wonder if they bought that during the D&D promo then started all the downloads at once to maximise their winning chance. Good for gog and Dotur and retrogamers all round.

http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/simcity_2000_special_edition
SimCity 2000 Special Edition is the second installment, and way superior than its predecessor, of the most popular city building sim series by Maxis. You play the role of the mayor of a new municipality, starting in 1900. Your task is to expand your small village into a bustling metropolis, and manage it so the citizens are happy and willing to live in it. You're responsible for building housing districts and commercial facilities as well as power plants, streets, bus depots, and more. You need to set and raise taxes and allocate the money cleverly so the city grows.

Nice
