Well they did release Thief. On it's own, for $10.
I'm wondering if they aren't getting greedy. Thief has been available for years as a triple pack (1, 2 & Deadly Shadows), which I bought years ago for £5.
GoG largely release games as individual titles & often without expansion packs too. In short, I'm starting to think GoG is a bit of a rip-off.
Case in point: bought BG,BGX,BG2,BG2X,IWD,IWDX,IWD2,PST,TOEE in a pack from Impulse for £6. GoG want $56 dollars and you get to buy them individually.
Dont really follow that, the first Hitman was amazing, original and brilliant, none of the others have captured what the original did and it remains the best of the series.
\o/THIEF™ GOLD is the definitive version of Thief: The Dark Project, the first game that introduced sound and light (or silence and shadows) as stealth gameplay mechanics, so there is no way you can sneak past this gem on GOG.com for just $9.99.
Garrett, the main protagonist in Thief trilogy, is one of the gaming’s most appealing hidden anti-heroes. Sure, he’s a thief (and a killer!), but he makes it up with sarcasm, intelligence, and rougish appeal. Thief’s surprisingly elaborate storyline throws Garret between a rock and a hard place where he needs to restore the political and magical balance of the city by using silence, stealth, and thievish skills as a weapon. The chaotic Pagans and technological Hammerites are preparing to tear the city apart in their battles with each other, and it seems that only a little judicious theft can keep these titani forces from clashing. No matter who's the employer and who's the victim, he plans to stay neutral and is always upholding his beliefs with a simple key principle: always get the loot.
In THIEF™ GOLD, you have a wide range of equipment at your disposal: a blackjack, a sword, lockpicks, holy water, explosive mines, flash bombs, and seven types of arrows to assist you on 12 treacherous missions in a steampunk-medieval metropolis called the City. The game’s FPS mechanics are a big change from then-traditional DOOMlike “shoot and run” to the unthinkable "it's quite amazing how much fun it can be to avoid action". The game received much critical acclaim (92! Metascore), with reviews ranging from “immersive gaming experience”, through “bloody good”, to the quite expected “my favorite game of all time”.
You don’t have to get your hands dirty to get THIEF™ GOLD from GOG.com’s secret stash for $9.99.
It depends. If you are judging purely by the entertainment value/quality of the game, then arguably no.
If you start taking into account the other places where you can buy the game, and how much they are charging, then yes.
The 7th Guest, developed almost 20 years ago by the recently-revived Trilobyte Games, is an FMV horror adventure game with bizarre riddles, tense atmosphere, and the omnipresent menace of the evil Henry Stauf--who was definitely nightmare fuel for many young gamers in the 90's. The game hailed by Bill Gates as "the new standard in interactive entertainment" was way ahead of its time with live actors, 3D environment, orchestrated score, and 679 MB of content in an era of 1.44 MB floppies (you’d only need 471!). The 7th Guest sold more than two million copies and is considered by many to be THE game that pushed gamers to make the switch from square disks to round ones. Today, it’s not only a piece of history, but a dark, creepy, smart point-and-click chiller with entertainment value that has not corroded like the old Stauf’s mansion.
The thrilling sequel, The 11th Hour, follows the same path of terror, desolation, and grotesque logic but with even more advanced graphics, better cinematic sequences, and more in-game content.
Together, The 7th Guest and The 11th Hour, form an unsettling tale of horror and mystery that will send chills down your spine. Both games are coming soon to GOG.com for $9.99 each.
the last ninja series was my most fave game on my c64 haha cassette tape those were the days

We may think that the modern age as one filled with savage conflicts--
World War I and World War II were titanic struggles that engulfed the whole planet--but Europe has a long and bloody history. The Cossacks Anthology on GOG.com brings the smoke and fury of battle back when black powder and pike ruled the battlefield right to your PC. Challenging players on both the tactical and the strategic front, Cossacks: European Wars requires avoiding plague and famine while collecting the raw resources needed to continue to equip and man a ravenous war machine. With 16 nations in the original game--and 2 more added in each of the 2 expansions--players can try to crush their opposition as almost any major European power.
Is BG2 better than BG1? I might get it with Neverwinter Nights.
/remembers when most titles were $5.99 on GOG, now everything seems to be $9.99 unless I'm imagining it.
