GOG , Good Old Games - Official Thread

Looking at the forum it just seems like they will be stocking a wider range of games ie not just classics. As long as they are DRM free still it will be great for them.

I assume you're referring to Steamworks? It won't necessarily need it. I don't have the Orange Box on Xbox but I haven't heard that it requires an account with Valve or anything...?
 
Don't see why it would be fake. The recent videos show that GOG will now be doing new games as well as old, and I'm sure Almost Human will be glad to get their game on as many distribution platforms as possible.

I was in here yesterday but forgot to convey my love. Signed up, and downloaded the freebies. but I am going to spend a fortune come friday(Payday)

They have Dark Reign!!! One of the best RTS games of all time if you ask me. And they have Master of Orion 1 and 2.... Dungeon Keeper...

I'm practically giddy.

I wonder if there's a way to request games :D I'll have to have a look... The site could benefit from a few other brilliant strategy games, Star trek Armada and ofcourse Birth of the federation.

I do hope this focus on the newer games, doesnt stop them trying to give us some of the more obscure(yet great) old titles. For instance, M.A.X Mechanized assault and exploration would be another welcomed addition

im looking to get more PC games but i not to sure what to get any sugestions. the only thing my PC is not the best atm but in the process in upgrading it. Thanks. :)

Narrow it down abit aleast :p give us a few genres or games to show us your taste or what your looking for currently.
 
lol well im not really fussed. i like all genres. atm i am playing a lot of LOL and SWTOR. i like FPS. atm i am playing a lot of pvp games and i just want sumit to play on my own but not sure what games to get since my pc colection is not to great lol :P
 
WC4 sure had a lot of choice and consequence for a space combat game.

For example, if you don't complete a recon mission, in the next you're going in blind trying to find your objective. Don't stick up for a wingman in a mess hall fracas? He won't cover your back in the next mission.

Not to mention the finale, which turned out to be the exact opposite of the typical boss fight that ended most games.
